Wow, is this going to be some common thing now? Extra playing after breakout/on the verge? This has got to be the most that we have seen this kind of occurence this year, more than those one occurences in July 2021 and May 2023.

The chart is definately off. ‘Lose Control’ is still just out of the top 10, currently at number 13 and it’s at number 28 on the American Top 40 countdown smh.

And what's even worse is that "Lose Control" has been holding on its place on the Billdboard Top 40 at position 12 for now the past six weeks, just refusing to go recurrent while the others before that one fall below it and suffer the recurrency because of it. Not even one song on that countdown had been able to bump it down. As to trending down on the actual top 40, "Lose Control" has got to be the slowest decline since "Someone You Loved" from November 2019/July 2020.

That’s a very good point. ‘Beautiful Things’ by Benson Boone is in that same projectory with it still in the top 10 AT40 wise for atleast the next two weeks. It looks like a lot of songs in 2024 has slow up their rising run and died in the 10-19 range. ‘Make you mine’ suprising made it over the hump to the top 10.

As we near the end of September, there are still 3 songs left on the American Top 40 countdown that debuted last year 2023. It is impressive that there are still multiple amount still hanging on this time of year.

Why complain? If it followed the Mediabase chart to the nines, songs like Calm Down would still be on AT40. It's better like this.

Affiliate update: It appears Oman’s Hi FM has dropped AT40 from its schedule along with On Air with Ryan Seacrest on weekdays since it hasn’t aired for the past 2 weeks and they’re usually aired it on Fridays.

It’s not accurate atleast close to. If it was around the number 20 range it would be more realistic

Hi FM don't follow the cue sheet anyways due to the country's beliefs of certain tunes ... so it won't be missed IMO
