I love Morgan Wallenβs music too but what is this π This senseless attitude against me trying to negatively manipulate what I write is tiring me. And after this message I will no longer respond to your provocations. Me trying to defend myself after someone calls me out for something I'm 100% in the wrong about:

I think weβve already established that Espresso is well on its way to biggest #3 peaker of all time on the h100 if it doesnβt re-peak no? What about biggest of any song not peaking in the top 2? based on Tanooki's update: biggest #2 songs:
#1 LeAnn Rimes - How Do I Live #2Β Dua Lipa - Levitating #3Β Jewel - Foolish Games/You Were Meant For Me #4Β Timbaland Featuring OneRepublic - Apologize #5Β Tag Team - Whoomp! (There It Is) #6Β Shania Twain - You're Still The One #7Β Foreigner - Waiting For A Girl Like You #8Β John Cougar - Hurts So Good #9Β Usher - You Make Me Wanna... #10Β The Tony Rich Project - Nobody Knows
biggest #3 songs:
#1Β Real McCoy - Another Night #2Β Imagine Dragons - Radioactive #3Β Train - Hey, Soul Sister #4Β 3 Doors Down - Kryptonite #5Β Bell Biv DeVoe - Poison #6Β The Chainsmokers Featuring Daya - Don't Let Me Down #7Β Doja Cat Featuring SZA - Kiss Me More #8Β Timbaland Featuring Keri Hilson - The Way I Are #9Β fun. - Some Nights #10Β The Fray - How To Save A Life
#89Β Sabrina Carpenter - Espresso
biggest non-top 2 songs:
#1 Real McCoy - Another Night #2 Imagine Dragons - Radioactive #3 Train - Hey, Soul Sister #4 3 Doors Down - Kryptonite #5 Bell Biv DeVoe - Poison #6 Avicii - Wake Me Up! (#4) #7 The Chainsmokers Featuring Daya - Don't Let Me Down #8 Alicia Keys - If I Ain't Got You (#4) #9 Doja Cat Featuring SZA - Kiss Me More #10 Timbaland Featuring Keri Hilson - The Way I Are
#138Β Sabrina Carpenter - Espresso
biggest non-top 2 songs of the 2020s so far:
#1Β Doja Cat Featuring SZA - Kiss Me More #2Β Metro Boomin, The Weeknd & 21 Savage - Creepin' #3Β Rema & Selena Gomez - Calm Down #4Β Gabby Barrett Featuring Charlie Puth - I Hope #5Β Chris Brown & Young Thug - Go Crazy #6Β Sabrina Carpenter - Espresso #7Β Ed Sheeran - Shivers #8Β Justin Bieber Featuring Quavo - Intentions #9Β Morgan Wallen - You Proof #10Β Arizona Zervas - RoxanneSeems crazy itβs only at #89 as of now, but it surely has a lot of chart life left

Well, hopefully Espresso holds up much better over the decades than Another Night, since I feel like that song is massively forgotten for such a huge hit. Unfortunately because itβs always been among my favourites from the 90s. I listened to it again today in fact π

Not sure if we have a thread for it, but with Arania out of the way, Iβm sure the top 8 on billboards 21st century pop stars will be Billie, Beyonce, Drake, Bieber, Rihanna, Britney, Taylor, and Gaga, though very unsure on the order. It will be Taylor and Drake at 1 and 2 if theyβre just doing success, but I sincerely hope itβs Brit, Gaga or Rih at #1. Theyβre the 3 that fully exemplify a pop star in the truest sense of the term, not the others.
Also a travesty to exclude Pink, but I think she could only knock out Billie on that list (which Iβd be perfectly ok with). But I feel like Billie has just been too dominant for the last 6 years to get excluded, we even have BTS and Bad Bunny on thereβ¦ also pretty ridiculous to exclude Mariah, even though I was expecting it. TEOM is one of the single biggest eras of the century and she has been the ubiquitous Queen of Christmas since the early 10s or so. Sheβs only getting screwed here bc her biggest decade was the 90s, but who cares?

Billie is not making it into the list. She's already been mentioned alongside the many honourable mentions at the start of their countdown.
Instead, I believe Kanye is in the top 10. It's the other common name I've seen being predicted alongside Taylor, BeyoncΓ©, Britney, Gaga, Rihanna, Drake and Justin.

It's the other common name I've seen being predicted alongside Taylor, BeyoncΓ©, Britney, Gaga, Rihanna, Drake and Justin. Oh where are the honorable mentions? I missed that. Thatβs actually absurd to exclude her from a top 25 if they were including the likes of Bad Bunny and BTS who have been less dominant for less amount of time than herβ¦ Edit: nvm, found it. Ugh, no Pink confirmed then (literally one of the longest hitmaking pop stars this century but ok then). Donβt see Mariah there though, so maybe thereβs hope. Kanye is always such a wildcard anymore given all his personal stuff. Also lmao @ their write-up for why not top 25 for Billie, even they couldnβt make it make sense.

I wonder if Doechii will see a noticeable boost from this Kendrick shout out she just got. Possibly, does anyone know how her numbers are doing now? I doubt anything major though, and the shout-out also wasn't random, as she stars in a recent CashApp commercial created by Kendrick's company pgLang.

I don't think it's enough to earn a re-entry in the US (probably the UK though) but it looks like Night Changes is the highest-1D song given the Liam death bump.
I didn't really expect that to be their signature song, but it's pretty deserved

I don't think it's much of a stretch tbh, considering it's their most streamed song on Spotify by a pretty substantial margin, with their other big hits "What Makes You Beautiful" and "Story of My Life" being nearly 400 million streams behind it.

I think it's the song that their fans play the most. but I also think most people have never heard it. Yeah, and going simply by Spotify streams doesn't clearly indicate a signature song. You have to consider other holistic determinants and measurements. What Makes You Beautiful was their breakout and biggest hit by far in most parts of the world, and seemed to be what mostly identified their career in the immediate years following and what is most memorable today , so I would go with that.

Total Streams for Gracie Abrams - I Love You, I'm Sorry: 9,962,214 (Would be #6 with combined streams)
Total Weekly Streams for Chappell Roan - The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess [6/14]: 27,885,520 Total First Week Streams for Charli XCX - Brat and it's completely different but also still brat [5/35]: 18,064,519
Well against all odds, Die With A Smile remains #1 for a third week in a row but again with a microscopic lead, literally only by 5630 streams. Both it and Taste remain the Top 2 with drops of 9.2% and 9.28% respectively, nearly identical holds! Timeless looks to continue it's slow trajectory down as it fell to #5, being down 13.64%. A song that does continue to impress however is Sailor Song which rose to #6 and was up 13.95%.
It was a big week for pop as Charli XCX released a remixed version of BRAT which should hopefully finally get her a #1 album. It was frontloaded as the week went on but at least the Ariana Grande rework of Sympathy is a knife should chart. Outside of t hat, Gracie Abrams released a live version of I Love You I'm Sorry which with a combined 9.96M streams would actually make it the #6 song of the week. We also saw KSI and Trippie Redd's song chart after already debuting on the Hot 100, Rod Wave have one crossover song from his newest project, and JENNIE's second solo song underperform by debuting below the Top 100.
Notable Gains: Scared to Start - 19.15% Riptide - 17.45% No One Noticed - 15..18% Sailor Song - 13.95% Sparks - 13.47% Mmhmm - 13.11% NEW DROP - 12.15% Austin - 11.13% TGIF - 9.5%

per TOTC: red wine supernova scores its 20th (and final unless it gets a radio push) week. casual pushed out by mini bombs from rod wave and glorilla. I assume it can rebound back in though.

Oh god is Thick Of It gonna be the first song to become big off of hate-streaming lmao. The song really isnt that bad IMO its even kinda decent.I did not know people still streamed Rod Wave's music this much,i see a lot of people making fun of the kind of trap him and Polo G make with the melancholic guitar and pianos and the struggle raps.

Are we expecting a top 10 today or is it a US holiday?

^They wouldn't have posted a Billboard 200 article today if it were a holiday. So, unless there's some holdup, they should publish a Hot 100 article today.

topped all components again. it's the second song with 12 weeks atop both radio and sales, after Uptown Funk. should be the first with double 13s.
sad but expected news: This week marks the first in which the top-selling download sold under 6,000 since Digital Song Sales began publishing in the Jan. 22, 2005. 20 year low.
