“Last Night” was the fourth country single from One Thing At A Time. This song looks to be the second single from the new album, after “Lies Lies Lies”. I thought the ask was his single as a lead/solo (?) and not a lead single? Pretty sure Last Night was at least Top 10 at country before it was pushed at Pop |

This is his first single as a lead artist that is pushed at both country and pop at the same time (the only other being IHSH where he's a feature). |

I thought the ask was his single as a lead/solo (?) and not a lead single? That's why my answer was "yes." Last Night was pushed to country months before it was pushed at pop. This is his first single as a lead artist that is pushed at both country and pop at the same time (the only other being IHSH where he's a feature). So I went back and checked, but 'Last Night' actually went to Pop first (made the top 50 on Pop and HAC in Feb 2023). His label was actually promoting something else to Country radio at the time, but the format started picking up 'Last Night' too so they just pushed both on Country at the same time because radio effectively forced their hand. 'Last Night' was on Pop/HAC for about a month before it started being officially worked at Country. |

He always launched 5/6 singles before the album. He has to wait for a ruling that will certainly affect his plans. That it could reach a million copies in the first week is very likely but it is stronger in the long term for both singles and albums. |

Is it just me or do I also hear Stan/Thank You kind of in the chorus? like Idk how to explain it, and I do definitely hear the I Just Died In Your Arms/Relax Take It Easy, but does anyone also hear the Stan/Thank You resemblance too? or maybe just me.

Pop always gets on board so late with him. Wasn't the song just released last week? It's the #1 song in the country. It was projected all last week to go #1. It's a follow up album to 2 of the biggest albums in the 2020s. This should be getting +200 and +300 updates. All other songs pop only gave him small updates until the songs continued to blow up. Pop is slow with him. I hate how country is still taboo on pop in a way. There is nothing wrong with loving country. |

One million is almost impossible in the streaming era without significant pure sales. The Tortured Poets Department opened with 683k SEA, which is the record. Even if Morgan matched that number, he would still need over 300k in pure sales. His last album opened with 111k.
