Goes for adds on January 11, and already is in regular rotation on some stations such as KROQ. I think this could potentially be bigger than "Slow Hands".

I see the singles from Antics as going:
Slow Hands Evil Narc Not Even Jail
That seems the most logical course.
I think Evil will do something close to what Somebody Told Me and Take Me Out did. Narc could be a potential #1. Not Even Jail could also go top 10 rather easily.
I'm still frustrated at how Interpol could have and should have scored with 4 singles on alternative with Turn On the Bright Lights. NYC could have done something similiar to Mad World. PDA just simply got screwed. Say Hello To the Angles could have been a #1.

This is the best choice as a second single. It is not as great as "Slow Hands" at first listen, but It is still growing on me with every listen

All I can think of when seeing evil is Kids In The Hall with Kevin MacDonald pointing at Dave Foley "Evil! Evil! VErrrry Evil!"

When I see the word "evil", I think of three things. Mac users, Dr. Evil, and Dan Rather.
Is this song about Dan Rather?

Well, considering that the first lyric of the song is "Rosemary, heaven restores you in life." I doubt its about Dan Rather unless its his middle name of he crossdresses and uses the name Rosemary.

This song is insanely catchy, in my opinion. The bass line and lead singer's voice really make it kinda bouncy. Dare I say it, this could be entertained as a pop release, if all parties wanted to. I know that'd piss off some people, but I'm just saying I could see it happening.

How did Slow hands do in the States, crept in the top 40 in the UK and this went in at #19, their biggest hit, I bloody love it, fab song!

Number 15 on Modern Rock Tracks (Billboard) for "Slow Hands" is the only chart listing for any Interpol song on All Music Guide.

It would be interesting as a pop release.
This is my favorite song on Antics. Nothing else that I love this much on the album.

Interpol is now 3 for 3 in releasing singles that are slow-growers with me. I'm not feeling it yet, but I'm positive that eventually I will.

I'm not sure about a pop crossover, but the video is probably the oddest one I've seen this year. It's on Launch.

I can't believe this lost its bullet. This song by all means should be huge. Oh well, I guess I shouldn't give up hope quite yet..

Interpol just isn't much of a radio-friendly band, and I don't see them ever surpassing the success of "Slow Hands". Their songs, to me, come off immediately as hookless, and it always seems to take awhile to find their hooks. And most people don't possess the patience level that I do. They'll undoubtably continue to have a huge cult following and string together lots of minor hits as long as they're around, but I just doubt we'll ever see a smash hit from them.

That's an interesting point, but while your description applies to "Slow Hands" and many of their other songs, I find "Evil" to be very catchy, and that's mainly why I think it's should do so well (besides the fact that it's an all-around great song). I think they should've released this as the first single actually, but maybe they were afraid of alienating their diehard fans.

I finally caught the video on MTV2. LOL, I never really expected that. Man that puppet looks so disturbing weird. (I censored myself there so I don't ruin it for those who don't want to be spoiled, just in case.)
So that's three new videos I've seen this weekend that greatly improve their impressions with me. "The Clincher" by Chevelle and "Sooner or Later" by Breaking Benjamin are the other two.

I'm kind of disturbed by the "Evil" video. The end is pretty stupid looking, too.

Not the best song on the album by any means, but it's a great tune and Interpol deserve to do big things w/ it.
