Given that they've had enough time to back off, that this will be more in the vain of a desert sessions (atleast in the way it was recorded and the amount of guests on it), and that people still know No One Knows from the assload of recurrent play that it gets, this will do something.
I predict a top 5 atleast.
Hell, if its as good as No One Knows, we may have a #1 here.

After searching their new album title on Ares, it seems the new song is called "In My Head".
..And if this IS the new single, it won't do nearly as good as No One Knows.

I find them to be fairly overrated in the first place. And I bought Rated R in 2000 and the last record shortly after it came out.

"In My Head" is on the Need For Speed Underground 2 video game soundtrack. It's not necessarily going to be the first single from their new album.

I know it's not, but it'd be badass if this were a cover of the Elvis tune. Elvis is what I immediately thought of when I saw the song title.

It's decent, but it needs more cowbell.

Not bad, but not as good as "Go with the flow" or as great as ""No one knows"

Good song, but nowhere near as memorable or likable as the singles from their last album. This really doesn't seem like first single material. I liked their recent cover of "Never Say Never" more than this.

Thank you quite a bit! This sounds like a smash hit on all three rock formats. Hopefully it will break their one hit status that they have so far.

For the record, that's more like a temple block or wood block rather than a cowbell.
Better than I was anticipating, I hate to admit. (They're overrated and Josh Homme (and Nick, for that matter) is pompous.) I like this instantly better than "Go With the Flow".

But the cowbell reminds me of Blue Oyster Cult's Don't fear the Reaper and that skit with Christopher Walken on SNL, LOL.

OK, the video premieres all day today on MTV2. I saw it bookend their Rock countdown this morning. I'm sure it'll end up hitting my chart to some extent. And once and for all: It's not a cowbell. It's a (red) temple block. Period.

This is now one of the favorites, along with Beck, to take over the #1 spot from Green Day. It's 17 spins away from passing Papa Roach for #2, but still sits over 700 behind "BOBD". Beck trails QOTSA by 200, but has a much healthier bullet.
