Emmis Belgium recently got a 1.250 euro fine from the Flemish mediacommission. Also, the license for their station in Antwerp (biggest city in Flanders) got revoked for 6 days. They'll have to go off air on March 21st 2005. They got this penalty because they had been broadcasting with too much power. Antwerp has a license for 57 watts but they had been broadcasting with 800 watts and 243 watts. Emmis Belgium also moved the transmitter to another location in Antwerp without any notice to the Flemish Mediacommission. The Emmis station in Belgium is called Be One: www.beoneradio.be

With a low ERP such as 57 watts, I can see why they broke the rules.
