This is the lead single from Moby's forthcoming fifth album "Hotel", due March 22nd in North America.
Can Moby experience a possible comeback off this forthcoming release, after failing to connect off "18"?
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

"18" didn't connect because - simply put - it was crappola of the highest order. It was like the equivalent of a bad movie sequel to "Play". And to be honest I think - even in this day - that "Play" was a bit too overrated.

I liked the music from "Play" so much that I bought "18" without a single listen, which is incredibly rare for me. Unfortunately, it was a bad decision. I hope the music on this album takes a different direction.

I thought "We Are All Made of Stars" was a pretty decent song and had a really cool video. The rest of what I heard from the album was pretty sucky, though.

Ugh, I can't stand Moby. I hope that this flops.

I was bummed that "Extreme Ways" wasn't the first single from 18. That was a killer tune.

Yeah, "Extreme Ways" was awesome. I had it at 99 points on Peoplebase. ;) It definately should have been the first single.

lol
But yeah, I liked "Extreme Ways" as well. It only hit #49 or so on the Alternative chart though.

#50, actually. What a shame.
My problem with 18 was that it was almost exactly the same as Play, or at least that's how he tried to make it. And then I'd be listening through the album and I'd think, for the most part, I'd rather just listen to Play, which I'm already familiar with. Hopefully he'll have some other tricks up his sleeves this time around.

So this has been released now.
It doesn't sound anything like Play or 18. It is a straight up rock song.

Anyone got an mp3? All I can find is "It's a Beautiful Day Today" by Moby Grape and "My Beautiful Blue Sky" by Moby. Would the last one be it?

I don't know where you could find it, but I'm really surprised a radio version isn't floating around on the net. The song is already charting at AAA!

Woah...I didn't need the whole album!
That explains the huge download...

Apparently the song is a backhanded swipe at Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson. The album has 25 tracks. :o

Apparently the song is a backhanded swipe at Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson. The album has 25 tracks. :o Yeah, but it's spread out over two discs. The first being more radio-friendly, the second being ambient songs. (I'm sure you read that in the article, I just wanted to clarify.)

I grabbed this off of Napster and it isn't bad at all. Pretty damn catchy. But don't ever expect Moby to duplicate the success of Play. Play was pretty damn good, but its success was so fluke-ish.

What Moby ever alternative? I'm glad this wouss music hasn't charted. What exactly is "wouss" music? I like Moby, but this song just doesn't grab me like a lot of his other singles. It would probably help if I liked "baby, I love you" songs a little more. Same reason I can't get into Beating Heart Baby from Head Automatica.

This song just doesn't grab me like a lot of his other singles. It would probably help if I liked "baby, I love you" songs a little more. The satirical nature of this song isn't particularly obvious if one never heard him explain the angle from which he wrote it. But yes, I agree, it's pretty blah for a Moby tune. The video makes it a little more interesting, though.
