No adds date, but KROQ picked it up this week. Can this song be Conor's commercial breakthrough? MP3

I don't think this will be the one. While it's the kind of song I could really get into, it's still way out in left field as a radio song and I just don't see it getting massive support.
Many stations like to tailgate Kroq, plus I'm sure there's a few more that are actually looking to test some Bright Eyes for overnights, and I think they will carry it about as high as #66.

Well, The End in Seattle, WFNX, and a few others have been playing Take It Easy (Love Nothing).
Anyone think that could have a shot here?

Bright Eyes are one of the most deserving artists of a commerical breakthrough.
But I also don't feel this will be that track to give them some sort of Modest Mouse of their own.
Actually, I do think it's possible it can scratch the Top 50, but the best it can pull is a Jack Johnson I believe.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

And 89x has added "Easy/Lucky/Free", from the Digital Ash In A Digital Urn CD. If Bright Eyes is going to score a hit, these radio stations are going to have to get synchronized first.

Hey, how close was I here? I remember this being at #66, and next thing I knew, it was freefalling. But this was a mid-week observation.
I bought the I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning album awhile back, and this song is a letter grade and a half ahead of just about all the other songs, from what I remember. No regrets for picking it up; it's just that many of the songs just aren't my type, and that I think his other new album is what would have more of what I was looking for.

Yeah, I actually meant to bump this up. I think #65 was the highest I saw it, but I bet one of these songs would have made the top 50 if there were any major agreement on what to play.

I like this song, but I love the album. It's really great, but maybe this is the only song which has any chance at Alternative... the rest could fit right at Triple AAA
