An unnamed single from 3 Doors Down is going for Alternative adds on March 15. Hopefully it's "It's Not Me", and according to this VH1 article, it will be "It's Not Me".

Either that or "Right Where I Belong".

Judging by their recent single strategy (which makes no sense whatsoever considering Arnold says they'd be ddvastated to lose their rock base) I'd say "Here By Me" will well likely come next! Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Id think they would release a rockier track. The first single is still climbing on Pop and Hot Ac-seems like they should let that grow into however large it gets while trying to get back their alternative crowd with a more alternative friendly single. I havent heard the album so I cannot really judge which songs would be the best.

Yeah, I don't see them going exclusively into ballads from now on. They're probably gonna do a rockier track similar to "The Road I'm On" from the last album. And I predict it'll do just as mediocrely too, forcing them to release another balladish type single.

Barely rockier than "Away From The Sun". Sincerely, Noah Eaton

"Right Where I Belong" would probably work much better on Rock/Active Rock than Alternative. It seems to have more of a southern-rock tinge to it.
"Here By Me" is a "Here Without You"-type sapfest, so I don't think that would be next, but it's a prime candidate at Pop.
"It's Not Me" straddles the middle. It's not quite as rockish as "Kryptonite" or "When I'm Gone", but I think it would be suitable for both rock and pop formats.

You can vote for the next single here, if it matters anymore.

No matter what they release, it's going to have a hard time getting higher than #20.

It is the hardest of the four singles from Away From the Sun, but it's still softer than pretty much everything on their first album with the exception of "Be Like That".

In other words, not even "The Road I'm On" was really Alternative or Active Rock-hard. I'm sure most would agree if it could never make the Top 20. "Changes" was the track on "Away From The Sun" closest to "The Better Life" heaviness. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

If they are doing a rock-only single, they should release either "Right Where I Belong" or "Father's Son".
These will do well on rock and active rock, but not much on alternative.

Very little to complain about there. It's their best bet at harnessing their traditional base, therefore I think they made the right choice for the next single, even though they remain distanced from "The Better Life" era. Even so, I doubt they'll ever see the light of the Alternative Top Ten again. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

This might be my favorite single from them since Loser.

Even so, I doubt they'll ever see the light of the Alternative Top Ten again. I don't know about that. "Let Me Go" is at #16, still has a bullet (albeit a VERY small one), and WXRK added it just a few days ago.

They've pushed this back to March 29th now. "Let Me Go" only just now lost its bullet, so it's probably a good move.
