I really think its a cool song, but radio won't accept it at all; a bad single choice. I'm still hoping for a change, as there isn't an add date yet.

I felt it was a bad choice, only b/c there were 3 other songs that would've been much better choices. The purely alternative rock stations WILL play it.

This just in:
Apparently there are going to be THREE 2nd singles:
US - Bleed Like Me UK - Sex Is Not The Enemy EUR - Run Baby Run
SINTE has some marketing deal in the UK and the video for that will be basic, but the Run Baby Run video is going to be huge or something. BLM is still the US single. So strange....

See...BLM will not do well in the US, which is sad as any hope of a better 3rd single will be wasted as I doubt it will get any attention if the 2nd goes nowhere...do they think its Ballad-like so it will do well on pop or something?
SINTE is perfect for the states, simple, fun, fast..really on topic as well

I hate to say it, but if their album really only scans 75k this week, radio isn't going to give the second single a shot no matter what it is.

Okay, I have the album now. I've listened through it a couple of times. I'm REALLY disappointed. I don't know what alternative smashes some of you were referring to, but this is not a good album in my opinion. I like maybe 3 to 4 songs and the rest are either mediocre, or suck.
big time disappointment.

Plus, that # could go up since there were stock issues at some retailers or something the first day.

It starts off very strong in the beginning. But two-thirds into it, I think it loses some steam. All in all, it's a solid effort from them. I am not disappointed at all. Plus, it's great to have'em back. I think "Run Baby Run", "Right Between The Eyes" and "Sex Is Not The Enemy" are all single-worthy. I enjoy "Metal Heart" and "It Ain't Over But The Crying" as well, but I don't see them as singles.

IMO, It's All Over But The Crying is the best song on the album, but wouldn't be good as a single just because there is no market for that kind of song...unless it became a Dido-type hit or something.

I really like this song, but I understand everyone's worries about it being the second single. It's very iffy how this will do at radio. The subject matter is so serisous that it would have made more sense as a third or fourth single. I wish it the best though. I bet the video will be really touching.

I met Garbage on Fuse today and they talked about this video...it's very twisted and could be controversial.
I can't wait to see it.

i'm starting to think BLM could actually do better than we think. Already, SF, LA, Seattle, Houston, and Atlanta have played it (outside of the Garbage Radio Take-Over, too).
I wonder if they've left the horns in, tho?

Well I hope the video makes noise and gets attention for the sake of the song. You know I'm bad at this...I kinda expected Hollaback Girl to bomb and be a bad single...so hey, this song could kick ass.

Thanks Wow! From the way people were acting, I was expecting embarassingly bad horrible crap, but I actually like this. If this is one of the worst on the cd, it must be a great cd!

Its not bad, in fact it has really grown on me a lot recently. I think most people think its a little avant-garde for radio, but I hope it does well.

This isn't bad, but there's no real hooks or anything for me to get into it. It's moody as hell though, so that helps. I think if this manages to get enough airplay, I'll like it fine.

WDYLM was ultimately more catchy, but I think that I actually prefer this song. I actually like the track more than others on the album. It's decent but I prefer the other Garbage albums. Those would all be rated at least a 4.5 out of 5, while the new one would be an entire point less.

I think the song gets kind of boring once they start saying "you should see my scars".

The "you should see my scars" part is my favorite of the whole song! Shirley's voice sounds gorgeous.
