KNDD played this just now. My first impression was that it's possibly their best song melodically, but it felt like it was dragging on too long. The song felt like it was about 5 minutes and when you think it's over they tack on one more chorus. Yeah, I feel the same way. I think I would have felt more cheated by a 3-minute song, though.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I think I would have felt more cheated by a 3-minute song, though. Yeah, that's probably true. And the thing is, I've heard it a few more times, and I got accustommed to it very quickly. This could very well be their best song to date.

"Everlong" (which I think was their best ever, though this may end up topping that) The BEST song they've ever made... And I still have to get into "Best Of You". It doesn't sound nothing special on the first listen

This could very well be their best song to date. I'm not sure I'd go that far, but this has a decent shot at #1 on my personal chart.

Thanks Matt.
From one listen, it's pretty good. I doubt it'll make my personal Top 10, though. Good chance for my Top 20. Their last record was really good, but in general, while the Foo Fighters never fail to release quality, their music doesn't really excite me anymore. I kind of know what to expect from them. Hopefully this record (similar to American Idiot) will change my mind. It sounds like it's certainly ambitious enough to do the job.

I have tried to like them for many years, and have enjoyed a single or two, but this one is not cool... I don't like it. I'm starting to think that I don't like them...

i like it. the music is so good, the only bad thing is dave's vocals are so grating and hoarse. other than that i totally love it!

"Best Of You" debuts at #4 in the UK giving the Foo Fighters a career best over there.

"Best Of You" debuts at #4 in the UK giving the Foo Fighters a career best over there. And I'm kind of surprised by that, in a pleasant way. This is one of the more hardcore singles of Foo Fighters, and you figure if anything, something from "There Is Nothing Left To Lose" would be the most likely kind of track to make a best dent in the U.K. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I realy tried to like this song because I consitently enjoy the Foo Fighters. Everything off of "There's Nothing Left to Lose" was great. This, however, did nothing for me. Grohl's vocals are grating to the point that it's uncomfortable to listen to. I still wish the Foos the best, but I'm ready for another single.

Wow... this is getting really close to 3000 spins. When's the last time that happened? "Boulevard" didn't even do that.
