OK, here's what KNDD's trotting out for Endfest 14, June 4th at the White River Amphitheatre. Endfest 14Main StageSocial Distortion Queens of the Stone Age Interpol Hot Hot Heat Stereophonics MxPx What's Next StageThe Bravery Ash The Kaiser Chiefs The Caesars Kasabian Tegan and Sara The Young and the Restless StagePretty Girls Make Graves Vendetta Red The Lashes Aqueduct Mountain Con RazRez Glad to see they're doing it on time this year. And the lineup looks much better than last year. Last year it seemed like they were mostly bringing out dinosaur acts that didn't seem like they much belonged there. Any news on if K-Rock and/or K-Rock Part Deux are planning another "Dysfunctional Family Picnic"?

I'm kinda looking forward to the 13th Annual KROQ Weenie Roast. I've been going to both concerts by KROQ: Weenie Roast and Acoustic Christmas since about a few years ago.

Looks like a weak summer for summer festivals. Even though all these big bands have new releases (Coldplay, Foo Fighters, White Stripes, System of a Down, Weezer, Audioslave, Garbage, Nine Inch Nails, Beck, Oasis, etc.), they aren't playing the radio shows?
Hopefully KROQ's line-up will have a couple of the above bands instead of just (presumably) Offspring/Queens of the Stone Age/Social D/My Chemical Romance as the top bands.

KPNT's Pointfest 17 Sunday, May 15 UMB Bank Pavilion (near St. Louis) Mudvayne Breaking Benjamin Story of the Year Sum 41 Modern Day Zero Unwritten Law Trust Company Life of Agony The Exies American Head Charge No Address Blood Simple Mourningside We'll see if AHC make it, because their guitarist, Bryan Ottoson died Dave Williams of Drowning Pool-style, sleeping in his bus bunk earlier this week. What frosts me about this lineup is if KPNT didn't plan this year's Pointfest for this date, Mudvayne, American Head Charge, Bloodsimple, and Life of Agony would be playing at Pop's and I'd go to see that no questions asked. Now I'm hesitant to see this show because it'll be outdoors and Mudvayne will be playing far, far away on the main stage. And I'm reluctant to sit through a lot of marginal to shitty acts just to see quality every once in awhile. And for the record, the Point has never played an American Head Charge, Bloodsimple, or Life of Agony song in their life. They're just coming because they were on Mudvayne's tour. And for a headliner, you'd think they'd get somebody they've played more regularly over the years. "Happy?" aside, they rarely played "Not Falling," never played "World So Cold," and only played "Dig" and "Death Blooms" after hours, when they still played heavy music instead of Loveline.

San Francisco's Live 105's BFD (June 10): Foo Fighters Kasabian Social Distortion The Lovemakers Sleater Kinney Hot Hot Heat The Bravery Kaiser Chiefs Tegan and Sara Alkaline Trio Z-Trip Ash MxPx Dredg Rise Against Senses Fail Lyrics Born Every Move a Picture Jackson United
What a weak line-up! You know the show is in trouble when Kasabian is the second most popular band on the show and half the bands don't even have minimal rotation on the radio station.

KROQ's Weenie Roast
Saturday, May 21 Audioslave Foo Fighters The Killers Jimmy Eat World Queens of the Stone Age My Chemical Romance Interpol Hot Hot Heat MXPX The Mars Volta Bloc Party The Bravery Alkaline Trio The Transplants Dead 60s Open Air Studio
Decent line-up. Interesting to see if anything will happen with Killers and Alkaline Trio at the same show. I think this is the first time that it's in May instead of the day after Live 105's BFD (most likely due to other bands' scheduling conflicts, as the day after BFD has already been overbooked by other festivals).
