KROQ started playing this song last/this week. I guess it's gonna be Hot Hot Heat's new single, though.

Since it was listed on the sleeve for Elevator, I'm assuming it will be.
One of my favorite tracks on the album.

This is carrying a fairly decent bullet as it approaches the top 40 (+113). I like it; better than "Goodnight Goodnight" from first listen.

Excellent song by a great Canadian band; hopefully it can make a splash in the States. Pitchfork wasn't too kind to them, but I don't think they'll ever become mainstream popular. This song is probably their best chance.

I'm loving this song. It's better than their first single.

Ahh, so they're Canadian. Thanks Snowles; I was just going to ask.

It's actually my least favorite single by them, and it's another song where the title kinda describes the song. For them, it just sounds kinda bland for them and doesn't really go anywhere. It's not bad, but not good either. For some reason, the "You didn't have to do it but you did it to say..." line sounds remarkably similar to a Hall and Oates song to me.

This song has grown on me quite a bit. I may even have to dig out the album I have by them. Is the new album out already?

The first one just didn't stick with me I guess, so I stopped paying attention to these guys. This song has me interested again.

Technically, Elevator is the fourth album. I find it shocking how someone couldn't have had fun with the predecessor (they're missing out totally).
Before MUTB was Scenes One Through Thirteen which had an additional vocalist, and the EP Knock Knock Knock.

And it doesn't surprise me that my idea of a first album turns out to be the 3rd or 4th or whatever, especially if the first few were on Indie labels. I get into some of the indie scene, but not heavily enough to know it well.

Sometimes that's okay, I think. There are some debut albums I wish I didn't know about.

I really hope it does not make the pop chart or go for adds even. I don't think it's as catchy or has as much flair as "Goodnight" did, so I'm assuming it won't. I just don't want HHH to get their careers killed when they are a band with full potential elsewhere.
As for the post made about not having a real impression, that's completely okay. I just never understood why some people can't get into it. But then again, people don't get why I'm the same as you with My Bloody Valentine and Loveless. What's humorous is that I thought "Soft as Snow (But Warm Inside)" blew those songs out of the water and was from the predecessor album of theirs.

This is a pleasant song. But the title reminds me of Hanson. And since Hanson pops into my head everytime I hear it, I hate the bloody thing.

Sometimes that's okay, I think. There are some debut albums I wish I didn't know about. I saw Papa Roach when they opened for 311 the other night, and while I know Infest isn't their first album, I can't help but think of it as the first one, and surprisingly, when Jacoby was introducing one of its songs, even he referred to it as "our first album." I guess that's probably for the best. I don't wanna know about anything they did prior. As for "Middle of Nowhere," I finally heard it last week on KNSX, but it was the song playing when my alarm went off one morning, so needless to say, I knew what it was, but can't remember a thing about it.

I was just in Canada for a week and must have heard this song like 20 times walking in and out of stores, without turning on a radio or watching the Much Music Channel. I know these guys are Canadian, but had no idea they were THAT huge there. Anyway, the song itself is one of my favorites of the year. Its one that's just really hard to get sick of and impossible to get out of your head.

Well it's not really losing many spins and with the rate it's going it will probably end up as a recurrent eventually.

I like this song a lot more than any of their previous singles. Hopefully it'll be a crossover hit.
