So that's why they're going on the Warped Tour this summer. I thought it'd be either because they have a new studio album coming, or less likely, they're trying to dredge Splinter back from the dead. Did that album actually have a third single?

Nope... and "(Can't Get My) Head Around You" did pretty well, too (#6 peak).

Nope... and "(Can't Get My) Head Around You" did pretty well, too (#6 peak). Yes, they both did surprisingly well, particularly the latter, since traditionally Offspring secondary singles underperformed their leads. Although both singles also tanked even faster after peaking, with "Hit That" just plunging like crazy (Losses above -700 at one point) It's probably safe to say this will peak reasonably high

"Spare Me The Details" would have made a great 3rd, summer single from Splinter.
Look forward to hearing the new song, though I have a feeling it's going to be half-ass.

Yes, Spare me the Details is VG, but I still play The Worst Hangover Ever regularly; I always thought that song would be an amazing Summer hit and was pretty surprised it never made the radio.

I'm looking forward to it. The Offspring rarely disappoint me.

This is probably another novelty song. Although from the title, it doesn't seem like it.

Jesus, another rip-off of one of their own songs? They completely ruined The Kids Aren't Alright, one of their best.

But I think I like it more than "Hit That" (what an awful song!!!) NOTE: And "The Kids Aren't Alright" are not one of their best songs... it's THE BEST

It does sound like a weak rehash of "The Kids Aren't Alright", but I'd take that any day over another rehash of the "Pretty Fly" formula.

NOTE: And "The Kids Aren't Alright" are not one of their best songs... it's THE BEST that may be IYO, but i find that stuff from "Smash" and "Ixnay On the Hombre" both had better material then this song even though i did/do like The Kids Aren't Alright the song "Can't Repeat" is ok, but sadly it is not a catchy track, and it will further sink The Offspring into obscurity. as far as the two singles from "Splinter" are concerned, they were novelty-ish (not entirely mind you) but i liked both more then stuff like "Original Prankster", which had me marking them as a band that was over.

The song that this one sounds like more than anything else that has been mentioned here is "Mudshovel" by Staind.

Oh man, I just heard this, and thought it was something by them from 1995. It was only wen they IDed it at the end that I knew what it was. And I agree with crash on the Staind comparison. The intro had me guessing if it was a Staind song. This song really doesn't know what it's supposed to be, in my opinion, but who knows. Maybe more listens will change that.

After a couple of listens have sunk in, this is definitely below-average Offspring.

Great song! The Offspring was a great band I ever heard from them since 1994 when they broke out with the single "Come Out and Play".
