Going for adds July 12th...meh, I'd have preferred Still Running or even Emotional Drought.

I'd have preferred "Tug-O-War", but I like this song. Maybe too soft, so it can be boring for many people. I don't see it going top 20

I hope this is better than "The Clincher", but I cannot see this topping "Vitamin R" - a classic.

EDIT:
oh, wait. Panic Prone is actually one of my favorite songs from their album. I got confused with the title.

I'm surprised this isn't even making an impact, considering it goes for adds this week.
"Vitamin R" peaked at #3 (or so) and "The Clincher" peaked around #8, so why is this being ignored entirely.
I still hold Chevelle on a much higher plane than many bands they unfortunately get lumped together with. Chevelle is, in my opinion, much much better than most other popular nu-metal bands out there. They are also a band that could have lasting power on both alternative and active rock, although I do admit they must change their sound a little bit on their next album.
This song doesn't rock as hard as their previous two singles, but it's subtle and dark, something I thought alternative radio (or active rock, for that matter) would warm up to. Unfortuantely, it hasn't and I don't know why.

Unfortunately for me (and them, I suppose), I don't remember how this song goes. Their bassist has permanently quit, as it turns out. Sadly, they won't be a brotherly trio anymore...

Their bassist has permanently quit, as it turns out. Sadly, they won't be a brotherly trio anymore... That sucks. Especially since I got the impression he was the heart of the band, so to speak. Or at least the strongest member, musically. I've actually only managed to listen to the album once so far. I don't know if that's because I've bought so many albums recently, or that it seemed subpar to Wonder What's Next.

Ouch, yeah I heard from their MySpace that one of the members quit. I wonder why?
"Panic Prone" is alright; maybe it's too "in the middle" to be noticed for adds at the moment?

I've actually only managed to listen to the album once so far. I don't know if that's because I've bought so many albums recently, or that it seemed subpar to Wonder What's Next. While I've listened to it probably five times, I believe my unfamiliarity with it still is a combination of those two factors you mentioned. It came out the same day as American Idiot, which I bought at the same time, if that tells you anything.
