KMRQ Modesto, on its website, is telling listeners "The Revolution Is Coming, the Rock Era Is Over". Meanwhile, listeners of WSTZ Jackson--including myself--are being alerted to listen for a major announcement concerning the future of the station on Monday, April 4 at 9am. No word at this time on what the changes will be.

Well... 96.7 KMRQ Changed on Friday at 5pm to "New Rock 96.7".. it's basically the same as the OLD Rock 96.7 but instead of sprinkling in some classic rock like Hendrix or Led Zeppelin, they have added in some Alternative artists like Franz Ferdinand and Beck..
They are either an Alt Leaning Active Rock station or an Extreme Alternative Station.. They are playing LOTS of Slipknot, Metallica, and kickin' up their regular rock tracks like Crossfade, Crazy Anglos, etc..

Another CC rocker may be on the rocks. Tomorrow morning at 7:40, Little Rock's KMJX will make a major annoucement concerning the future of the station.
Remember a while back, CC seemingly was killing CHR stations left and right. Now it looks like the rockers are the victim this time, already killing off Texas stations KEGL Dallas and KLOL Houston.
