First single off of their first album. Lead singer Gavin Rossdale said that they were filming a video for this song.
This song will apparently also appear on the Stealth soundtrack on July 19th.
The song probably won't go for adds until the middle-end of this month.

It's not quite enticing enough to buy, but if one of my homies decided to get it, I'd likely burn a copy. Apparently one of the Incubus tracks features Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders. Awesome.

It sounds just like a new Bush song, and that's definitely not a bad thing. Hopefully Institute sticks around for awhile, and has similar success in the future like Bush did. I'll definitely expect to see this go top 10

Why did it suddenly gain 90 spins within like two days and now it is dropping back to 70 spins for the last week? What happened? My guess is Gavin was on Loveline, and they played his new song, but I'm not sure...
Why the loss in spins if it is available from the Stealth Soundtrack anyway?

I don't see this as a new band. To me it's just the return of Bush. Hail.

100 77 INSTITUTE Bullet-Proof Skin 111 73 +38 0.398
I know it's just going for adds this week, but this song has been available for radio from the Stealth Soundtrack (as mentioned above) for two weeks.
Will this song even make the Top 50? Say, top 30? I certainly hope so, but is anyone else worried? If Audioslave could generate huge adds with "Cochise" and Velvet Revolver with "Slither", this should be absolutely taking off. One problem: it isn't.

Has a bullet of 124 and is #47 as of today. Looks like it could be a top 20 hit.

Just heard this for the first time on WEQX and it sounds great. Took me by surprise since I hadn't heard about the new band.
So what's the story with Gavin anyway? Is Bush officially dead?

According to Gavin, it's just on hiatus until the band members figure out what they want to do. He said probably what they would do is release a Greatest Hits first. Kind of ease back into the public eye.

*Sigh* I have been very disappointed with how this is performing. They should have planned a release date, a fall/winter tour, and STUCK TO IT a couple months before the scheduled release for the Stealth Soundtrack. Now, I'm worried they have worn out their welcome. I mean, this is a "name band" stalling in the Low '30s. Velvet Revolver debuted in the 20's with a scheduled release date. Audioslave rocketed to the Top 10 in a matter of two or three weeks. Hell, even Zwan took off like crazy. The best Institute can hope for now is a scheduled re-release for sometime in late fall, and hope for reaching the Top 25 with this song on alternative and maybe Top 20 on Active Rock. Especially with a song that sounds exactly like Bush.
I'm just disappointed with how Gavin is trying to re-generate his career, by keep putting release dates on "hiatuses" and leaving all of us so confused until we don't even care anymore.

What are you talking about? Institute has had September 13th as the release date for Distort Yourself for quite a while now. There's no "release dates on hiatus" going on here. I'm not sure what it is you're trying to say.

I'm not sure what it is you're trying to say. Not to mention it's unlikely Gavin has much to do with the release and add dates in the first place. I'd imagine he's at the mercy of his label just like everyone else.
