It debuted at #49 on the Active Rock chart. Here's a clip from their Mezmerize release.

Does this mean it's a release? 'Cause if it is, I'll hump my PC 'cause I love this song.

It's also currently at #57 on Alternative. At this point, I think they'd be stupid not to release this.

This is the type of track that System Of A Down would want to release next.
They're trying to get away from being seen as a political band, and the lyrics to this song are not political whatsoever.
With that said, "Sad Statue" will certainly not be next.
Any other track, however, is up for play.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

This is the song on the album that I can listen to over and over again. It's great.

I like it. Should send SOAD back to my personal chart top 50 after 3 ( :o ) straight misses.

Can't wait for the station I work with to add this "hot Moody Blues cover."

I'm glad that this is a single. It's one of my favorites on the album and would potentially outpeak "B.Y.O.B." (#3) on my personal chart.
This will probably be the last single on Mezmerize, though. Because by fall the radio is going to be playing a track from Hypnotize. I kind of wish they/their record label did what Audioslave have been doing for this album, as far as promotion goes.

Yes, that would've been a great idea, as there are several other single-worthy tracks on this album.
But I'm glad they didn't release "Lost In Hollywood"...

Video's been shot, band performs in a huge opera house and apparently a recurring theme of reincarnation is present throughout the video.

When does this video begin to air? Really lovin' the hell out of this song. It was on MTV2's Rock Countdown last night. Another top notch video for them too, I might add. It's very operatic and it actually reminds me a little bit of the video for AFI "The Leaving Song Part II". For some reason, though, KNDD and KISW both seem to be sticking with "Radio/Video" instead of going for this, although The End has played it as an album cut. And it doesn't matter anyway, since KFNK is all over this anyway. (Although it matters with regard to the R&R charts since KFNK only seems to be an indicator Active Rock station).

I might as well add that, like everything else I've heard from Mezmerize, this is brilliant. It's seem fairly simple when you really listen to it, and yet it still manages to be one of the mose unique songs on the radio, just like almost all their other songs (which I guess should be oxymoronic, but not really).

I was thinking the same thing. They always manage to make such a simple theme, a complex theme. As for the video, it's ok. I've only seen it once though but the beginning with the bird is hilarious.

I love this music video and I only saw it once. Another band this year in the camp of "follow-up videos superior to the first ones".
And it's clear how much I love this song. Just look at where it is on the last personal chart I posted.

I love this song. I might end up liking it more than "B.Y.O.B."

I love this song. I might end up liking it more than "B.Y.O.B." I've always liked this more than "B.Y.O.B"; my friend had let me borrow the CD and I put this track on loop all the way home. I saw the vid earlier and it was really good. It reminded me a bit of the US video for "Mr. Brightside", with all the theatre objects and stuff. Awesome video.

SOAD sez their next single after this one will probably be Hypnotize. Then another Hypnotize single will come out, and then they'll do one more Mezmerize single. Probably saving Lost In Hollywood for last.

Probably saving Lost In Hollywood for last. Woah. These guys release singles too fast. To me, it seems like "BYOB" was released late May. Because that's when I heard it. Now there's "Question!". And who knows, another single soon?

Heh, I just realized the irony of it being called "Question!" put having an exclamation mark next to it. Although I never like to write puncutations after song titles so (save for the previous sentence), I always write it as "Question" anyway.
That single strategy sounds good, though. Better than doing two-in-one, in my opinion (that is, simultaneously doing a third single from Mesmerize with a first from Hypnotize).
