I had never actually heard any Atreyu on the radio prior today, but this came on KBBM (100.1 The Buzz out of Jefferson City, MO) this afternoon. They indicated that this was the new single, and on first listen I wasn't too impressed. I really enjoyed the previous Atreyu singles, so maybe this wil grow on me some if I give it a few more listens, although I'd kinda be surprised if this much more airplay around this part of the country.

Ooh, good man.
Goddammit. My girlfriend told me she heard "Right Side of the Bed" on 100.1 a couple of times when it was released to radio in February. Alas, I was in Memphis at school at the time.
Now I go to school in Columbia (1/2 an hour from Jeff City) for three days a week and have been for the past 4 weeks. I'm never listening at the right times. (Although since it hasn't been sent for Active Rock adds yet, my guess is they just started playing it. I need to keep them in mind when I'm traveling and remember them as an option at home, even.
Although yesterday on 96.7 (Rock format) I did have the great fortune to hear Skid Row's "18 and Life" on the way to school (only second time I've heard it on radio) and then on the way back, I heard "Youth Gone Wild" (for the first time on radio)!
For "The Crimson," I'd been so familiar with it as an album cut that when the video was released back in February and I only saw it a couple of times, it didn't do much for it on my personal chart. I think it peaked at #37 or so.
The guitar work on it is excellent, it has a Brandon-sung chorus, but admittedly Alex's screams are so indeciperable that my enjoyment of the song is lessened because I can't sing along.
If anybody ever hears it (again), pay close attention to the first full sentence of the song. Alex says (screams), "I feel it welling up inside and Robert Smith lied: boys do cry and with blood tears in my eyes I'm an Anne Rice novel come to life."

This has an add date of July 12 now.
You know I just recently discovered 96.7, and between that an 100.1 I've been more pleased with my radio options here in Columbia than I was with St. Louis. Although I would prefer we have an alt station, the two rock stations here do manage to play some real variety sometimes in stuff we dont hear on the radio too much as you suggest in your comments.

I finally heard an Atreyu song on the radio last night! 100.1 played "The Crimson" in its cage match. (It took out "Forget to Remember" by Mudvayne the previous night, apparently, and handily defeated the new Our Lady Peace single last night. Not that OLP stand much of a chance on an active rock station).
