01 02 01 Me Against The Music Britney Spears f/Madonna 62 11 51 1(5) 6 And there we have it... Britney & Madonna set 2 records this week. Having the second highest number of points for a #1 this week(Red Hot Chili Peppers Can't Stop had 66 points while the #2 at the time: Madonna's American Life had 64). & the second most weeks at #1 for a video ever(5 weeks: record belongs to Jewel's Intuition's 6 weeks at #1, & had they not fallen to #2 this week they would have matched Jewel's record fairly easily. Very pleased for them as well: also rising back up 2 spots to #13 on VH1's Top 20 Countdown & rising up 3 to #15 on Muchmusic's Top 30 Countdown. Also, this is the highest peak the video's been so far! Past highest peak was when during a week when they were #1, they had 58 points at the time. Easily one of the most successful videos on this chart. Always having a 50+ points week every week since released except for the first week where it debuted at #1(38 points it had). And Britney has the #1 album in the country this week, 609K, the 4th highest figures for a female in the first week ever. Hooray
Droppers:
10 Stand Jewel, Peak #1 for 2 weeks, 8 weeks on chart
Summary:
And look, what we have here! A huge rebound for Britney & Madonna... even though the song is heavily losing radio airplay, it looks like its video airplay on stations keeps on increasing & increasing... it even held off Missy Elliott's Pass That Dutch this week... but it was a tough battle, as there was times when Missy had midweek #1, Sarah had midweek #1, Britney had midweek #1, etc... very much so Britney & Madonna are doing beyond expectations with the 2 records this week... have them keep on going like this & they'll easily break the obvious record: tying the record for the video with the most weeks at #1 ever. Amazing chart run as well: 1-1-1-1-2-1... great rebound... would sound like how a massive chart run for a single in the UK would do as well:p So overall, very very tops for the top female in the world at the moment with the #1 album worldwide.... next on... what an amazing zoom up the chart for the best video hip hop female artist ever.... zooming up 6 spots to #2 with very massive points enough for a normal #1. Missy Elliott has proven to pass that dutch into the top 2... she was so close this week, hehe... an amazing video that is too... but she has already been #1 for 1 week being featured on Monica's So Gone, but can she prove to do it solo next week? Speaking of which, she easily outdoes the other rap hip hop females: Eve who of course hasn't charted & Lil Kim who's highest position was only #6 with The Jump Off... overall, yay for Missy... the song should have done much better on the radio than it did though :'( Next up: last week's #1 falls slightly 2 spots to #3, with still very high points & during its chart life it was able to remain top 3 :) 3-2-2-1-3... very great for her... as Fallen was able to climb 2 spots to #5 on VH1's Top 20 Countdown this week! Yay How she does it is amazing... yay for Afterglow passing the 500K mark this week, etc... excellent ballad, #1 Triple AAA, well deserved Next up... oooh rebound for No Doubt! Interestingly: 4-6-4... excellent yay for No Doubt, who surprisingly also rose up 4 spots to #4 on VH1's Top 20 Countdown this week... YAY! Yay for their greatest hits looking to sell 200K by hits as well... excellent... how one can easily adore that video so... brilliant song, brilliant cover.... YES! Next up, despite falling 1 spot, Christina has been able to stay stable... she debuted at #17 on VH1's Top 20 Countdown... she's lasted longer than expected... she only needs 4 weeks to match Fighter's 10 week stay which ironically that video also peaked at #3. The Voice Within does resemble a video for Evanescence's My Immortal(despite that song & video being much superior than the former)... and I agree, perhaps the simpleness of both videos despite being black & white... anyways, good for Chrissy... next up, Sheryl begins to fall a bit, falling 3 spots to #6, having her peak at #3 for 2 weeks... Sheryl's being able to stay so high with such a fantastic cover is amazing... yay for her GH doing well & for The First Cut Is The Deepest rising up 3 spots to #11 on VH1's Top 20... so close to top 10... after It's MY Life, this is definitely the best cover out there at the moment... very divine... Sheryl's chart run: 10-4-3-3-6... not bad at all... next up, Outkast does a pattern going back down 2 spots to #7, & it's the video with the longest number of weeks at the moment with 9... cool for Andre3000 being able to stay at #1 on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown for 2 weeks in a row..... but a bigger yay for the very very very excellent single & video for Evanescence's My Immortal rising up 1 spot to #8.... it's closely rising up there & really deserves to outdo both Going Under & Bring Me To Life.... beautiful video... and I prefer the new version over the original album version.... They also were the top debut this week on VH1 debuting at #15 on the VH1 Top 20! And the only debut this week goes to Alicia Key's You Don't Know My Name debuting at #9... excellent song... I hope "The Diary Of Alicia Keys" goes well for her, along with the song... how divine... I think I may like the song more than Fallin'....she also debuted at #20 on VH1's Top 20 Countdown... hooray! And finally, the last video on the chart, Dixie Chicks "Top Of The World", holding onto #10 falling 3 spots losing 10 points... but even if it falls off next week, it's still amazing it did so well on here! After all, the Dixie Chicks rule! :)
