Guys, I'm very SLIGHTLY pissed right now. Ok, not slighty. REALLY pissed right now. For some reason, I haven't been receiving the callouts again for maybe the last 24 hours. Whatever it was I just received an email from Geocities saying something like me varifying my email address blah blah blah. Didn't I do that over the weekend?! Anyways, for some reason the callouts stopped coming and then that Geocities email came about 20 minutes ago. If you sent a list and I didn't get it, I'm REALLY sorry. I personally hate webforms and now it's confirmed. If I don't have your list and you already sent one twice, don't send another one even though I'm 95% sure everything is alright, it's basically for your own sake. Wait for the next callout. Send a list if you want but I completely understand if you don't want to try it yet again. All should be well for the next callout. Again, I'm REALLY sorry about this, guys.

I think you should extend the deadline because of the problems. Until either Sunday or Monday -- I would like to have the results of the callout survey for this week by the time I publish the 12/9 Pulse 100, but I don't know how long it would take for you to gather in all the surveys and determine the results.

Seems to be working fine now, guys, since I got a bunch of new lists (including insect's)
I'll compile the list tonight. I'd like to get going on the second callout so I'll keep accepting lists until I finish the results of this one and put it online. That could be tonight or tomorrow or anytime. Whatever happens though, there will be a callout list online at all times. When I put the results of the old list online, I'll have the new one up for you to vote on.

It seems like a no brainer what the current Top song is on all of Pulse land! Outkast's 'Hey Ya' is #1 on the Pulse Chart and on Pulse Callout with a 4.30 rating! However, it has the highest burn rating in the Top 5 so that could effect its future. Dashboard Confessional has hit potential with 'Hands Down'. It has yet to make the Pulse 20 but according to the people that know it and voted for it, it must be a good song! Howie Day also has only about half familiarity but the second lowest burn rate of any song in the Top 30. Signs of a good future! Surprisingly, for a song that's been out for as long as it has been, Nelly Furtado has 0% burn and 100% familiarity.
The next callout will be up midweek.
I have a NEW one up now to tide us over until the next official one! Go vote!

There's too much crossover lag and stuff. All four Hit Potential songs are over a month old. "Stand Up" is a Billboard Hot 100 Number 1 and three people haven't heard it? 100 percent familiarity and no burn is an accomplishment for Nelly Furtado. "Going Under" peaked a while ago, so I want this to have some type of recurrent rule. The average songs heard per person is exactly 26. Do the same songs need to rated every week? Will this chart have a rule about being dropped after a certain number of weeks like the Pulse 100 and PeopleBase have? Can you: 1. Number the chart 2. List all the songs on the ballot on the chart page Total Points: "Hey Ya!": 99 "It's My Life": 90 "My Immortal": 88 "Powerless (Say What You Want)": 86 "Bright Lights": 80 "Bigger Than My Body": 79 "White Flag": 79 "Breathe": 76 "Going Under": 76 "The Way You Move": 75 "Numb": 75 "Me Against The Music": 75 "(There's Gotta Be) More To Life": 74 "Why Can't I?: 74 "Why Don't You And I": 72 "Here Without You": 71 "The First Cut Is The Deepest": 70 "The Voice Within": 69 "Shut Up": 69 "Stand Up": 68 "Take Me Away": 63 "Fallen": 62 "Hands Down": 60 "Have A Little Faith In Me": 60 "Stand": 59 "Falls On Me": 58 "Perfect Time Of Day": 41 "Sunrise": 40 The points for "Deliverance" doesn't come out to a whole number so I think it's a mistake. It came out to 60.66 points. If it has 61 points, the score would be 3.39, not 3.37. It doesn't work out for "So Far Away" either. If you tell me all the scores for those two songs (I don't need names with the scores), I'll tell you what I think they should be.

I'd like to note that the scores given were rounded to the nearest tenth of a decimal so there were no actual ties. Could that explain the descrepancy, EvanJ?
Pulse100 doesn't have a recurrent/removal rule, does it? The Callout will always be the Top 50 of the Pulse chart and the result will always be a Top 30. Isn't that how R&R does it?
Yeah, the same songs will be ranked each week. I'm pretty sure R&R does that too, don't they?
I suppose I could number the next chart.

I used the percent familiarity and the number of reporters to find out how many people rated every song, then multiplied that by the score to get the total number of points. Other than roundoff error, the songs calculated to a whole number of points other than the two I mentioned. What does "the nearest tenth of a decimal" mean? The scores were given to the nearest hundredth. What do you mean by no ties? I calculate the following songs to have exactly the same average: "Bigger Than My Body" and "White Flag" because they had the same number of reporters. "Have A Little Faith In Me," "Sunrise," and "The First Cut Is The Deepest": the fractional part is one-third for all of these and the number of reporters for all of those scores is a multiple of 3. Again, can you PM me all the ratings for "Deliverance" and "So Far Away"?

I have the Excel file for the chart if you'd like me to email it to you. There could possibly be a calculation error of some kind because I copied and pasted the results people sent in and had to remove information due to people not being familiar with a song but still giving it a rating and a burn factor rating. I might have missed a few of those even though I'm almost positive I never. Plus, sometimes the number of votes for ratings didn't equal the number of people that voted themselves familiar with a song for whatever reason. Sometimes it would say # familiar would be 20 but I'd have 21 different ratings so I'd have to change the familiarity # to 21.
And yeah, there were no ties. I only showed the ratings to the nearest hundredth (oops, not tenth) so Excel did the rounding for me.
