04 01 01 It's My Life No Doubt 85 MASSIVE POINTS! INCREASE OF 22 FROM LAST WEEK! 63 1(2) 5 And OMG, No Doubt has clearly smashed a big record here by far, by having the video with the most points ever in a week, smashing the Red Hot Chili Peppers "Can't Stop" when it had 66 points at #1 by far, beating them by a big 19 points!
The Top 5 Biggest Point Weekly Totals Of All Time So Far:
5)Britney Spears f/Madonna "Me Against The Music" 62 points
4)No Doubt "It's My Life" 63 points
3)Madonna "American Life" 64 points
2)Red Hot Chili Peppers "Can't Stop" 66 points
1)No Doubt "It's My Life" 85 points
And hot smokin' damn for No Doubt... she clearly also leads Alicia Keys by far with 29 points seperating them! No Doubt also rise 1 spot to #1 on VH1's Top 20 Countdown & It's My Life is also #33 on VH1's Top 20 Countdown...overall, YEAH! I wonder if No Doubt can keep this momentum to perhaps even crack the 100 point markage ever... plus the fact that It's My Life got votes from 11 people & 3 people putting it at #1 on their list atm gave it large help as well....
Droppers:
06 Pass That Dutch - Missy Elliott(Peak #2), 3 weeks on chart
Summary:
As what above is stated, what a massive massive week for No Doubt... it's like seeing huge sales of an album in the first week or something like that.... No Doubt reaching 85 points like that is a big achievement. Chart run of It's My Life on the chart: 4-6-4-1-1... Having a nice little hold by far & a well deserved #1 for them... being able to hold off an act having a huge lead for a second week in a row, first they were ahead of Sheryl Crow last week by 23 points, & this week they block Alicia Keys by 29 points... amazing... Gwen Stefani has such a presence on the camera that just can astound anyone... pretty amazing that It's My Life is also #33 on VH1's Top 40 of 2003... I wonder where it will end up on MTV's Top 50 Videos Of 2003... #1 on Pulse Videos & #1 on VH1... proof that this is a brilliant video.... next destination: The Pulse 100 for them, then next: CHR/Pop But anyways, next up: HUGE LEAP FOR THIS SONGSTRESS who had an amazing week for her... Alicia Key's "Diary" sold 618,000 copies first week in the US debuting at #1 & in the world albums chart she debuted at #1 selling 800,000 units worldwide... also the fact that "You Don't Know My Name" takes a big charge for #1 so soon! Rising up 5 spots to #2 already! Damn! With also a huge increase bigger than No Doubt's gaining 32 points from last week... wow, chart run: 9-7-2... can it reach the #1 spot next week or like Sheryl fall back down a bit.... You Don't Know My Name rose up 3 spots to #14 on VH1's Top 20 Countdown & I really like how soulful the song is... the more I hear it, the more I may prefer it to the former as I don't see this getting as overplayed... this was the week of Alicia Keys & her piano around the world & I'm proud :) Next up, a band that stood a nice hold this week that despite gaining 10 points, they stayed at #3 with their video for Feelin' This... pretty good chart run so far: 3-3... next up, Sheryl again falls down 2 spots to #4 despite gaining 5 points from last week! Her GH is really selling well, I'm happy for her as well :) This video has had a really nice chart run so far: 10-4-3-3-6-2-4, and I prefer this video much more than the overrated, overplayed Soak Up The Sun(and what's so interesting about the Picture video if anything?).... this video also rises up 3 spots to #7 on VH1's Top 20 Countdown... YAY :) And next up, nice hold for Britney & Madonna! And a brilliant chart run as well, as they've regained points this week with despite them falling down 1 to #5, they gained 11 points from last week & this perfectly keeps their top 5 streak on a nice hold! Chart run: 1-1-1-1-2-1-4-5... excellent MATM has now reached the same amount of time on the video chart as American Life which also spent 8 weeks on the chart reaching #1 for 1 week... also this being #1 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart gives it a nice chart staple as well becoming Britney's first dance #1 & Madonna's 31st! Though this plunges down 6 spots to #19 on VH1's Top 20 as its peak was #13[3]. Next up, we have a reentry for Evanescence! They're most likely with becoming the band that all of their chart entries have reentries in them! For example, Going Under's first 2 weeks were: 5-3-off! then returned onto the chart many weeks later only to spend 4 more weeks on the chart... and Bring Me To Life's run had numerous reentries as well as I no longer remember its chart run anymore But anyways, yay for My Immortal reaching a new peak but can it match Bring Me To Life & Going Under which both peaked at #3. We'll wait & see but Evanescence can now claim they have another top 10 video on VH1 as My Immortal rises up 3 spots to #9 on VH1's Top 20 Countdown & Bring Me To Life is the #5 video of the year! Next up, the woman with the top female single of the moment keeps on rising up with Kelis' Milkshake rising up 2 spots to #7 this week... amazing for her... Milkshake is very very worthy of a #1 for her & thank god that this has been the year where everyone finally sees what spark & talent she has after being underrated for many years & working with the Neptunes before they became popular... Anyways, after the FABULOUS Kelis, we have Outkast falling down 3 spots to #8 despite gaining 4 points, they are also the video with the longest weeks on the chart so far with 11... wow! And also they finally fall off the top spot on VH1's Top 20 Countdown dropping 1 to #2 after 3 weeks at #1.... also the #17 video on VH1's Top 40 Videos Of 2003! Still #1 on basically every other big chart nowadays though Next up, a really nice little regain for the Dixie Chicks! After spending 2 weeks at #10 last week, Top Of The World rises back up 1 spot to #9 gaining 8 points from last week! Chart run: 5-7-10-10-9... really great for the biggest selling female country group of all time to do so well on here... and finally the last video on the chart which was a former #1, Sarah McLachlan's Fallen falls 2 spots to #10 though gaining 1 point from last week... excellent for her as well... Fallen falls 1 spot to #5 on VH1's Top 20 Countdown(#4 Peak) & was #36 on VH1's Top 40 Videos of 2003! And Afterglow spends a 4th week at #1 in Canada with her CD overall selling 28K there for the week...selling 200,000 copies there in total(equilvalent of 2 million copies in US)
Theme of the videos this week: you gain many points but fall down alot of spots this week...
Also something to note: no new entries have entered this chart at all this week! :o
