2)Britney Spears f/Madonna "Me Against The Music" 5 weeks at #1
1)Jewel "Intuition" 6 weeks
And seeing as the VH1 chart is frozen, technically they spend their second week at #1 there too(if a person would want to count it that way) But very much so, yay for Gwen Stefani & her troops! Well deserved success as usual
Droppers:
09 Top Of The World - Dixie Chicks, Peak #5, 5 weeks on the chart
Summary:
Oooh No Doubt still keeps their ground & we have the exact top 2 from 2 weeks ago! Amazingly No Doubt's chart run has been: 4-6-4-1-1-1(very great chart run)... despite the fact they lost 20 points that's still a very good chart run, in fact having the 1st, 3rd & 5th highest point weekly totals is seriously an amazing achievement & proof that It's My Life is just about an amazing video in total. They now currently tie Jewel's number of weeks at #1 with Intuition but now beat Stand having 1 more week at #1 than that video. It's My Life can technically be the video with 2 weeks at #1 on VH1's Top 20 Countdown despite it being frozen.... and also, another little tidbit. Another chart with 2 covers at the top... amazing, moving onto another cover: here's Sheryl Crow - The First Cut Is The Deepest. Having a seriously amazing chart run & for the first time, it cracks the 50 point mark! Excellent! Chart run: 10-4-3-3-6-2-4-2. Very much so amazingly for her, the video has been on the chart for 8 weeks, 2 of those weeks top 2, 4 of those weeks top 3, 6 of those weeks top 5. Very consistent chart run... the way this video is so simple, gentle & just a nice look of the cliffs & the water & the nice horse she rides would be a good view for anyone to look at! :) Overall, yay for Sheryl but she was 15 points behind No Doubt, so it's a long journey for her to reach #1. Could she finally reach the top one day? Or will she suffer a Beyonce "Baby Boy"... let's hope she atleast sneaks a week at #1 ala "Crazy In Love". Next up: ooooh Evanescence do the triple. By having 3 videos peak at the same position! Excellent story for them: Bring Me To Life peaked at #3 on the VideoChart staying on the chart for 9 weeks, Going Under peaked at #3 staying on the chart for 6 weeks & My Immortal rose up to #3 with currently 4 weeks under its belt. Really really great for them. Chart run: 9-8-off-6-3. I really really love how beautiful the song & video both are & My Immortal is far better than both Bring Me To Life & Going Under, so I wouldn't mind if it hit #1. But really really interesting about the pattern they just followed..... Next up, Blink 182 finally fall off their top 3 home falling 1 to #4 though I will say they are very consistent as well. Chart run: 3-3-4... a really nice hold for them. Sad for Alicia Keys as You Don't Know My Name fell 3 spots to #5. Chart run: 9-7-2-5... good to know this song is doing really well as I really love this as well... the video's really good especially that little phone call bit in the middle... I love the plot of the story & good to know You Don't Know My Name is #1 R&R Urban :) Her CD's still selling amazingly great, so another :) for her. Next up, the big bang video of late 2003: Me Against The Music - Britney Spears f/Madonna... breaking so many records in different weeks, being above the 50 point mark for 5 weeks straight, being on top of the chart for 5 non-consecutive weeks in a row, etc... Chart run: 1-1-1-1-2-1-4-5-6... nice little 4-5-6 pattern it followed... 9 weeks on the chart, wow... feels like just yesterday that I just saw the video for the first time in early October when the song was just blowing up amazingly... those Fall memories... *sighs* Big yay for Britney & Madonna of course with their success... #1[5 weeks on VideoChart], #2 Pulse 100, etc.... Next up: Outkast rising up 1 spot to #7 despite losing 10 points... also this song is currently the longest video on the chart(not of all time though) with 12 weeks on the chart... really nice hold & stand.... and to think it only peaked at #4. This outkasted & outlasted most #1 videos on the chart that's for sure.... Next up: ooooh nice pattern for Sarah McLachlan! Also doing the 2 weeks ago pattern, Sarah rises back up 2 spots to #8! Chart run: 3-2-2-1-3-8-10-8 2 months on the chart. Really great for this video. Also nice to hear that her CD Afterglow has spent 5 weeks at #1 in Canada, excellent And next up, our only debut this week(which is great seeing as there were none last week) comes from the pop starlet Jessica Simpson debuting at #9 this week with With You. Good enough seeing as The Sweetest Sin didn't chart. And it's a nice little funny video, I will agree. And finally, wow... Kelis drops off a bit too soon when it shouldn't falling 3 spots to #10... ouch. Chart run: 9-7-10... hope it rises back up a bit.
