Bottom line, these are my choices for 20 worst songs this year. (Double what last year's list was! )
20. Jennifer Lopez - Baby, I Love U!
---Ewwwww...what puts this at the bottom was that it was (deservingly) a chart disaster.
19. Ying Yang Twins f/Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz - Salt Shaker
---Too new to be very high, yet bad enough to make the list.
18. 3 Doors Down - When I'm Gone
---A song I can only barely tolerate + It won't go away = Bad enough to make this list.
17. Ja Rule f/Ashanti - Mesmerize
---Ewwwww...I don't even want to think about this one. Next:
16. Nas - I Can
---The epitome of irritation. >:(
15. Jennifer Lopez f/LL Cool J - All I Have
---If this was some months ago, this would be higher. Time has played a part in lowering this one.
14. Nick Cannon f/R. Kelly - Gigolo
---The only artist to have THREE on the list. This is a bit better than his other two, but that isn't enough to get him off the list.
13. 3 Doors Down - Here Without You
---Nothing redeeming about this song at all. It's only #13 because I switch the channel/station whenever it comes on.
12. Field Mob - Sick of Being Lonely
---Yuck. The singing kills this song twice, as I don't mind the background.
11. John Mayer - Your Body is a Wonderland
---Say what?? :O A song that made my year-end chart on this list?? :O Time has proven to be the antagonist here, as I've grown sick to death of this and it still won't go away. What keeps it out of the Top 10 is that I did used to like it.
10. Nick Cannon - Your Pops Don't Like Me
---Agh! This song doesn't warrant existence. (actually, none of the Top 10 do ) It's #10 because it wasn't around for very long.
9. Enrique Iglesias - Addicted
---Yes, you must have been addicted to make this. Dreadful from start to finish.
8. Eamon - F*ck It (I Don't Want You Back)
---Give this a few months and it could have been Cream of the Crap. I can't understand why Bryan likes this song. ???
7. Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz f/Ying Yang Twins - Get Low
---In the right setting, I wouldn't mind hearing this. However, that "right setting" hasn't been found. It only barely misses Top 5. (Songs 8-3 are all very close)
6. Trapt - Headstrong
---What keeps this out of the Top 5 is that like #13, I switch the channel/station when it comes on. (So I don't have to put up with hearing it)
5. Nick Cannon f/B2K - Feelin' Freaky
---His worst this year. Between the voices and the lyrics, this was just horrible.
4. Ruben Studdard - Flying Without Wings
---EEK! His voice alone makes this #4.
3. Simple Plan - Perfect
---Came out a bit too late to make #1. Lately I can't seem to go a few hours without running into this (insert negative adjective here).
2. Simple Plan - Addicted
---That's right, TWO Simple Plan songs in the Top 3. If this hadn't peaked at #11, I would swear that this was Pop Music Poison.
1. Uncle Kracker f/Dobie Gray - Drift Away
---Well...this topped my worst list last year, too. So what keeps it there for this year? A combination of things:
1) The fact that it was the follow-up to In a Little While keeps it on the list.
2) The fact that my Pop station re-added it keeps it in the Top 3.
3) The fact that it went Top 10 >:( keeps it on top.
