I wouldn't call "Behind Those Eyes" light at all.

I find it really interesting how everyone trashes 3 Doors Down single releases at least since WIG anyway, and yet here they are releasing hit after hit and selling platinum CDs.
I'm no different, I criticize them too, yet they keep going and going.
For the record, I loved Away From the Sun, it was just a bad choice because it was too similar to HWY.
Now, after all this talk I'm going to finally bite the bullet and buy 17 Days, right after the Hot Hot Heat album.

What really killed their last album were the music videos. The video to "Here Without You" was just unoriginal and overdone. Seeing Brad Arnold sitting there writing the lyrics to the song was exactly like Aaron Lewis in "It's Been Awhile" with Staind (and other videos might I add), and those hundreds of photos behind the band performing reminded me a little too much of "Adam's Song" by Blink.
The video for "Away From The Sun" didn't even feature the band, which made them look completely faceless. Also, it looked exactly like a Creed video.

I wouldn't say Away From The Sun was killed really, since it still went multiplatinum.

Good call, but that's what killed it for me. Should have clarified earlier.

It's featured on the Radio & Records EPK.
