In the future I may be doing a countdown of the Pulse 100 with actual music, just for fun. I'm not so sure people would listen to three hours of a top 40/50, though, so I figure I'd ask.
Advantages of a short countdown: You don't have to listen for that long.
Advantages of a longer countdown: You might hear songs you haven't heard before. Each part/file would be either 10 songs or an hour long, so if you didn't want to listen to one section, you could just click on the next file.
Thanks for the feedback.

I voted for Top 20, but I think you could just put together, say, the 20 songs in the Top 100 that have the lowest number of reporters and I'll definitely listen to that. Edit: First to vote! ![](http://yoursmiles.org/ssmile/fun/s0270.gif)

I say, the more the merrier, and the better chance of hearing songs I actually like. ;)
In fact, maybe I'll make a companion show, the Pulse bottom 100. ;)

Ooh nice... continuing something I started long ago. Well sorta.
I voted Top 50 too, because the more the better, and if I don't have much time, I can always start from a higher number.

I'd assume more people have a faster connection now, making it easier to listen to something like this...

I voted for a top 30 because (1) it takes less work on Matt's part and (2) it is less time to listen to the countdown.

Top 20! Defininately. But with extras and stuff based on below the top 20.

Yeah, I'd go with top 30 and maybe a couple of extras. Good idea ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

I would say Top 50 plus Extras but not necessarily playing the entire Top 50. Maybe play a total of 20 to 30 songs with select tracks from the Top 50 as well as extras from outside the chart and older songs and requests or a feature called Tops of Another Chart where you pick a personal chart that has a #1 song that doesn't appear in the Top 50 of the Pulse chart.

Works for me.
I doubt I'll have a #1 that anyone else will for the better part of a couple months, unless I give it to Green Day, and I probably won't.

I'm doing 1-30, plus the following:
4 from 31-40 3 from 41-50 1 from 51-60 3 from 61-70 3 from 71-80 2 from 81-90 4 from 91-100
Basically the debuts/re-entries, most of the greatest gainers below the top 30, and the entire top 30. I think I can fit it into 3 one-hour segments.

Yeah I have, check out the thread for the 24th. My #1 at this very moment is Metric - Combat Baby. You haven't even posted a chart, so the question is moot. ![](http://yoursmiles.org/ssmile/fun/s0244.gif)

Seacrest is a punk.
If I could get into the audience, I'd go with a big picket-esque sign that says MATT OWNS SEACREST.
Sadly it wouldn't happen though.

I'm listening to Number 93 now. I don't know how much I'm going to listen to, but I've already listened to Matt more than I listen to American Top 40 and Rick Dees.

Would you mind posting the chart in here or posting a .txt file or something? I tried opening the files and it won't work (and I really don't have the time to listen to it all if it did work). Thanks.

Matt, do you have a list of all the Pulse 100 #1 hits online? I'd be interested in seeing the list.
