I haven't heard this, and don't particularly want to.
Truly, no offense to Theory of a Deadman, because I'm sure they're trying. However, am I alone in saying "No Surprise" was probably (one of the) worst songs on the alternative charts this year?

It's not a bad song.

Santa Monica would've been a better single choice.

It's a trite, annoying song, which lyrically doesn't make sense when you think about it, making it all the more worse. And I liked their debut single "Nothing Could Come Between Us" just fine when it was out, too. Since then, it's been mostly downhill.

Well, this song is probably going to end up being their true breakthrough hit. While it's just as boring as usual with these guys, the song actually halfway decent, although it's still unfortunate, because they would have faded away soon enough if the best they can hit is #27 on the chart. So if this becomes the top 10 hit that I'm expecting it to, it'll pretty much guarantee them a few more subsequent hits, and after all I've heard from them, I wouldn't bank on any of those being tolerable.
I don't think there's really anyone here that liked "No Surprise", btw.

You would be wrong. I like No Surprise. I also like Hello Lonely, but I do think there are better songs they could be choosing, like Hating Hollywood or Say Goodbye, that are harder and still are catchy and accessible. However, I do think you are right about the potential for this being a crossover hit. Whatever keeps them around. In my opinion, they're better than the other two in the radio rock trinity. For those keeping score at home, those would be Nickelback and Default.

Santa Monica would have been better, but I really like this song also. I'm telling you guys, this album from a sonic standpoint is just much better than their last one, but it IS more mainstream. I don't know if this will do well on ALT, but it has a LOT of potential on this and other formats.

I loved "No Surprise" but i don't really like this. Kinda bland. They should've went with "Santa Monica" instead of this.

I really like this. It's miles better then "No Surprise", which used the b**ch lyric thing to the extreme.
