FMQB sez The Suffering is the new single from Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV: Vol. One: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness, going for adds on August 29th. I was expecting the single to change since I didn't think radio would be keen on a 6-minute track like Welcome Home.

"Welcome Home" owns so much that it angers me that it isn't the new single, even without having heard this replacement single.

I guess I'm the only one who likes this song better. This is classic C&C. "Welcome Home" just reeks of pretension IMO.

I guess I'm the only one who likes this song better. Nope you're not alone. Even though I thought Welcome Home was a kickass song with one hell of an opener, this was a better choice for a single. Its already gone for adds and is just below the Top 50 at #52 on Alt. I hope long-term it has a similar or better run to A Favor House Atlantic, but that may be asking for too much. ???

"Welcome Home" owns so much that it angers me that it isn't the new single, even without having heard this replacement single. I retroactively agree with this. "The Suffering" is decent enough -- not as good as "AFHA" but better than "Blood Red Summer" -- but definitely inferior to "Welcome Home". I don't see any reason why that couldn't be released as a proper single since they've already made an edit for it.

"Welcome Home" would've done so well too...
Does anyone know where this is at currently on the formats? Thanks.

So tired of this song. The alternative station near my area plays it all the time and I see the video everyday.

The lead singers voice annoys the hell out of me. It's so F'n annoying, althought I do quite like the song.

They'll probably never beat "Welcome Home", and I do hope that gets released sometime (preferably next), but this song's alright. I like how they recycled the "cheerleaders" right out of "Blood Red Summer". I wonder if that's like a running gag or something.

I can't stand Coheed and Cambria. My college radio station played them SO MUCH in 2003/04 that I just lost interest in them. The dude in the video for this song looks freaky!

I've started liking this one more after a bit of burnout settled in on "Welcome Home". It might edge near or past "AFHA" as my favorite Coheed single (pending what happens with "WH", anyway).

I'd never listened to Coheed until I heard Welcome Home on MuchLoud one nite. however they've grown on me and this song is really good!
