mms://66.186.0.101/allaccess/flylimso.wmaNo word on the add date, but this is the official first single for Flyleaf's debut album which hits stores on October 4th. They actually re-recorded it. The other version was almost a minute longer and if the 6 track EP is available, you should still be able to get the older version of the song. This should hopefully be pretty big. I was expecting them to try Breathe Today first, but this'll do.

I'm in shock. A band I haven't heard of, that's touring with a band I hear about every day, and they're really good. I'm supposed to be on top of things. What's wrong with me? This whole situation would be a disappointment if the song wasn't so good. Nice to see another rockin female-fronted band on the market, and one that doesn't sound like Evanescence or Lacuna Coil to boot. I hope they do well.

I've heard some good things about this band. They seem pretty good overall. It may take me awhile to get used to the singer's voice like with certain songs on Evanescence's album.

I wasn't a big fan of "Breathe Today", but I liked this on first listen.

You can hear album track "Fully Alive" at www.flyleafmusic.com. You can also apparently download "Much Like Falling", which was said to have missed the cut on the album at ITunes. To download the clip, go to www.iwillsayyes.comThey'll be touring with Cold and Smile Empty Soul and they'll have one show in September in NYC with Staind. Finally, you can head to www.flyleafonline.com to listen to the EP version of I'm So Sick along with other songs that may be on the album.

I hope this band takes off instead of bombing like that Evanescence-ripoff Megan McCauley.

I keep forgetting to put this on my personal chart. If anyone sees my chart this week and it's not on there, someone remind me!

Those of you who have heard the EP and have bought the album might feel a little disappointed at the album's production.
But those of you who haven't heard it and have bought the album, may just wind up liking this band immediately.
This album is very short (only 33 minutes), but pretty damn good.
They're also promoting four different songs on four different downloading sites. Consider them "bonus tracks" or "B-sides".
Supernatural at Napster Much Like Falling at Connect and ITunes (from what I'd heard anyway) Penholder at Yahoo Music
and
Tina at Rhapsody

The only version of this song I could find was the EP version; it's longer, but inferior to the clip on AllAccess.

Up to #59, and should snag a New & Active spot on next week's R&R. It'll have to make the top 50 by next Sunday's update, or I could see this falling victim to the three-week gap in R&R publishing issues. I keep forgetting to put this on my personal chart. If anyone sees my chart this week and it's not on there, someone remind me! And it's up to #11 now. :)

It only lasted 3 weeks on my chart. I got "sick" of it.

They recently did a cover of Do You Hear What I Hear that's available for download at Yahoo Music. The video is up... www.flyleafmusic.com/imsosick

I think the lead singer sounds like one of the T.A.T.U. girls, however, she's a good screamer.

I don't really care for this. Does anyone else hear a strong resemblance between the chorus and the traditional "Rain, Rain, Go Away" chant? That's what really struck me the first time I heard this and has every time since.

The singer sounds really cute, and she is, too. I just wish the song had stronger hooks. I've got no problem pulling for this to become some type of sleeper hit.

Shoot, that might have been me. When my internet connection backs down on this new laptop, it reloads each page over and over at an extremely fast rate. I operate on a weak wireless connection, and occasionally it does go out. There have also been a couple "odd reply #s" on other message boards I go to, lol. So as Kurt would say, all apologies.

There's an edit of this song in the Pop section of Cool New Music on AllAccess (but it's not in the future releases section). I'm itching to listen to it to see just how little of the song is left, but alas, the link doesn't work for me.Shoot, that might have been me. That may have been the Alternative/Active Rock version. I'm not sure though, because I haven't heard it on the radio.

WPBZ played the non-screaming version for the first few weeks, and I think enough people complained so they started playing the screaming version. Within a week after that, it became the #1 requested song for the next few weeks.

Those of you who have heard the EP and have bought the album might feel a little disappointed at the album's production. Haven't heard the EP, but I was more than a little disappointed in "I'm So Sick"'s overproduction on the album. "I'm So Ssssssssssssssssssssick". Why did they change it to be like that? I also didn't like how they changed some of the screams to kind of a sing-song scream. They sound ridiculous, but certainly not more ridiculous than the concept of hearing this song with no screaming anywhere.

An interesting story I saw posted on another forum:
I'm not too sure Lacey is a lesbian though... it'd be kind of odd considering they're a "Christian band" (but probably more of a "we're Christians, but not a Christian band" band).

You know, I really can't imagine why anyone would want to try to create an excuse to hurt other people and be hurt back at a concert. It seems like a totally asinine kind of thing to start up. I mean, I've never really understood the point of moshing to begin with, but to actually start punching and kicking people. It just seems like an excuse to be violent.

I really like Flyleaf, but you can tell there isn't an ounce of live band on that record. It is so overproduced. I hope they go with 'Sorrow' or 'Fully Alive' as the next single.
And someone mentioned Megan McCauley... is she coming out soon? I saw her EP on amazon.com for 12.99! That is nuts seeing as it only has 4 tracks...
