So far, it's Pearl Jam's "World Wide Suicide", which spent 8 weeks total at #1 in March, April, and very early May. That's the leader by far - In fact, the next leaders are tied for 3 weeks at #1, so I'll let everyone know when Pearl Jam gets surpassed, but it likely won't be anytime soon ;)

Right now, for The Max chart, it stands that 'Nobody's Home' by Avril held the top spot for 17 weeks! Beating the nearest competitor by 4 weeks. 'Bright Lights' by Matchbox Twenty had 13 weeks.
On my MT40 chart, Chantal Kreviazuk has the record for 14 weeks with 'Leading Me Home'.

This year I've only had one #1 song run for over five weeks. Pearl Jam's "World Wide Suicide" spent 8 weeks in my #1 spot over the spring, but "Life Wasted" (Pearl Jam) and "Ready To Fall" (Rise Against) have each spent 5 weeks in my #1 spot. I'm willing to bet that Pearl Jam will hold the #1 weeks-on record when the year is over, too.
