The first few times I've heard this, wasn't impressed. Now I love it.

This song is kinda underwhelming considering how good their last album was. Hopefully the second single will be better.

It's ok. Really reminds me of Jimmy Eat World for some reason.

This one has grown on me quite a bit but I still like their upbeat, sentimental stuff better.

I like yellowcard a lot but this song isnt what I was hoping from them. dont get me wrong, I like it but I was hoping the violin player would have a bigger sound instead of being drowned out. the song Gifts and Curses from the Spiderman 2 soundtrack is one of the songs Im refering too. if you havent heard that song, check it out. thats the true sound Yellowcard should take... at least in my opinion!
cheers

The band collaborated with Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks on a track from their new album. Sounds interesting, I guess they aren't ditching the violinist afterall.

It's just different than the songs from their previous album. More hard-rock and less emo.
I will probably always parallel the progress of Yellowcard and Story of the Year from here on out. Both became popular around the same time, released their new album around the same time, and have had similar sounding singles (screamer first singles, soft third singles followed by hard-rocking lead singles from new albums.) I'm loving this, it could go top 20 by first weekend of the new year if Fall Out Boy drops even more and the Living Things lose their bullet.

epp I downloaded the whole album today lol. its not toooooo bad. still not as good as Ocean Avenue. I think the song "Rough Landing, Holly" is one of the best songs. its what Lights and Sounds should have been... or I should just say, should have been the single in my opinion lol

I don't like this. It's nowhere near as instant as "Ocean Avenue" or "Only One." I just downloaded the album but I haven't heard it yet so hopefully there are better tracks on it than this.

Ugh, I feel the same way. I thought this would grow on me but no matter how many times I've heard it I still think its boring and stale.
At least the success of this on alternative will help the second single, which I hope is better.

I just downloaded the whole album yesterday, and was quite surprised at how different it is than Ocean Avenue. I do think Yellowcard is heading in the right direction to get away from the poppy side of music and seem much more mature with this new album.
The major changes for those that haven't heard it yet that I noticed is that even though there are still some hard driven tracks similar to Ocean Avenue's stuff such as the single Lights & Sounds and Sure Thing Falling, there are a lot more melodramatic songs that include piano work and will take time to get stuck in your head. Also, they seem to have cut down on the violinist quite a bit, and seem to keep using him in background music, rather than give him his own 15 seconds solo in each song like they did previously.

This song is so "Frosted Flakes".
Okay, so you have your music, but even after one bite, it's still the same thing. The more you eat nothing changes at all, just disappointed by how quickly it wears off.
I don't know if this is as disappointing as Switchfoot's latest, but it has to come close.

With the way they are on adds for phone commercials all the time, I have a feeling this is being Payola'd.
