That's hard, because pre-3D, all their albums are extremely good!
It depends on your favorite member, really. When I want to hear stuff in the vein of Lisa, I pop in the debut. When I'm in the mood for T-Boz' groove, it's all about Crazy Sexy Cool, and to me, Chilli always shined the most on Fanmail.
If I had to recommend ONE, I'd say Crazy Sexy Cool.

That a different member would shine on different albums?

I have never been disappointed in a TLC (that's including "3D"). I would have to say its probably CSC though.

The first album is really hip-hop. I'd go with CrazySexyCool, because FanMail is just a tired rehash of that one and 3D is completely out of the question.

Depends. If you are more of a Pop fan go for Fan Mail, if you prefer RnB go for CrazySexyCool.
I don't have the other 2 so I can't comment.

Go with CSC or 3D. Their first album doesn't hold up well IMO. Fanmail is only half good.

That's the only method I'd use to gain possession of it.

That's the only method I'd use to gain possession of it. Wal-Mart has sensors. Watch out, boy!

how can anyone prefer "Fanmail" over Crazy Sexy Cool? the sheer music historical importance of Crazy Sexy Cool makes it an album that any serious music fan should have.
