This isn't really an opinion item as such, but I wasn't sure where to put it.
Travis releases a greatest hits after 4 albums? WTF? They aren't that popular in the US to make it a major release like this.
That being said, I bought the videos and realized I like more songs off their inaugural album than I realized. I have all their albums and like The Man Who and Invisible Band immensely, and the other two not so much.
I've heard NOTHING about their new song from the singles collection, anybody else keep up on these guys?

So?
They're popular enough in the U.K. and that's mainly where they're promoting it. They just released it here cause they release their other albums here and there are a few fans that might want to have it.

I guess I was just surprised they were doing a singles collection so quickly. I was very disappointed in their last album, and my fear is that this spells the end of a record contract, as so many greatest hits done this early do. I was looking for a little more info if anyone has it.

Travis is one of those bands I seriously believe hearing other songs from them at one point in my life, but the only song that ever comes to mind when I hear their name is "Why Does It Always Rain On Me?"
The Verve is another good example. Probably heard other stuff by them, but "Bittersweet Symphony" will always be THE song or ONLY song they'll be remembered by.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Not true as far as The Verve go. Or atleast outside the U.S.
Lucky Man from The Verve is one of the best songs I've ever heard. They have albums and albums full of great albums. Its extremely unfortunate this band broke up. They were 100,000,000,000,000 times better than Oasis and without any of the drama.
