This will be the second single from "Chapter V".
A video is said to be under way.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Hot freakin dog. I knew this would be the second single, and it's probably one that'll cross over too.
I called it, American Idiot. Didn't I call it? Tell them I called it.

I made a topic on this song on the non-singles forum, but I'm happy to hear that its officially a single. This song was an automatic standout for me on Chapter V. With the kids going away to college this is very fitting for radio right now. Based on how all the other songs sound on the album, this will be their only potential crossover on CHR/Pop and Hot AC.

This is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard by them. They've made some excellent songs but this is one of my favourites for sure. I wish Paper Jesus would be a single but that maybe to heavy for radio lol.

Not really liking the song all that much right now hopefully it's a grower like "Right Here" was.

This is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard by them. "Beautiful" song? While I've yet to hear this and very well may agree once I do, reading that makes me seriously question who they even are anymore. They've probably told me by touring with 3 Doors Down, Breaking Benjamin and No Address.

I don't know what it is about Staind, but I keep liking their songs, although they have made no progression musically for the past two albums. You could actually do a match the song puzzle with this album and the three previous albums. That's how stagnant their music is and for some reason I'm ok with it.

This is a good thing.

Staind hasn't been for some time and probably never will be again what they were on Dysfunction. This is a good thing. While I like Break the Cycle just as much, if not a little more than Dysfunction, 14 Shades of Grey and beyond (i.e., "Right Here," so far) has marked a sharp decline in the quality of their music.

I agree to disagree. While I don't think 14 Shades Of Grey or Chapter V is as good as Break The Cycle, I also think they're really good albums, and I think the direction they're in now suits them more than Dysfunction's straightforward anger management.

According to FMQB, "Falling" goes for adds on September 20 so I'm going to move this.

You know, I was looking for this thread in the search and for some reason nothing came up, although I knew it was there. How odd.
EDIT: Oh, wait a sec, I see. It wasn't here, it was moved to another location, and now it's moved back. Just goes to show that you can't be too careful.

Staind will be touring with POD, Taproot, and Flyleaf during November and early December.
That is an awesome tour.

It's #8 on KROQ. They don't usually play crap, let alone album-cut crap, so I might have to find a way to listen to this eventually.

I don't know about #1 ,but this should go top10 on all three rock formats at least and with Right Here blowing up on CHR & HAC this might also become another crossover smash . I think they should release Please or Cross To Bear after this , they need a harder edged yet catchy fourth single to finish this era.

The radio version as heard on the AllAccess link was produced by Tom Lord-Alge. The promo single is available on ebay. Right away you notice that they cut the acoustic intro, make the guitars before chorus louder, kinda vocoded Aaron's voice on the chorus, add drums to the piano bit, and some other stuff. I feel like it's a little overproduced now.

I think this might be my favorite Staind single! I won't say song because I've never heard anything else from them but singles. This will definitely be a big crossover hit for them, bigger than "Right Here," or at least it deserves to be.

This song is pretty good.
Speaking of Staind, anyone know what song is the one where they're playing football in the video? I saw the video on FUSE and liked the song. And I would like to know what it is.

This will be the second single from "Chapter V". A video is said to be under way. Sincerely, Noah Eaton Wouldn't this be the third single? Since "Right Here" and "Falling" were released?

It was originally going to be the second single, but they released "Falling" second instead.

You know - I'm just saddened to see that Staind are basically re-hashing the same sound over and over. I was happy when "So Far Away" was released because the opening riff sounded melancholic and peaceful, and it was something perhaps a little lighter and different than "It's Been Awhile". But this album is basically a cheap re-hash of their last two. And that's just not a good thing. I'm not a hater, but "EC" just sounds like an overdone post grunge ballad. Enough said, really.
