It's that time again and decided to compile the Grammy's Pick-em game.
The procedure will be done the same as the previous years: you will distribute 5 pts however you like for each category. You will get awarded the amount of pts distributed if that pick were to win.
You can base your picks on personal preference or who you think the committee will choose. I guess most people want to win so for the most part they wouldn't pick their ideal winners. But that's totally up to you.
In effort to appeal to as many people on this board, I chose categories that people may be most familiar with.
4 GENERAL FIELDS 10pts x 4 categories = 40pts awarded
3 POP, 1 DANCE 5pts x 4 categories = 20pts awarded
4 ROCK 5pts x 4 categories = 20pts awarded
4 R&B 5pts x 4 categories = 20pts awarded
4 RAP 5pts x 4 categories = 20pts awarded
120 points possible
For the important GENERAL FIELDS you will distribute 10pts however you would like. Again, the rest of the categories you distribute just 5pts for each category.
TIE BREAKER: Best Short Term Music Video (choose the order from most likely to win to least likely to win)
So the GENERAL FIELDS consist of 33.3% of your score and each of the other 4 genres will be 16.67% of your score.
The person with the highest accumulated points will be the winner. In the event of a tie, the person ranking the winner for the TIE BREAKER the highest, will be declared the winner.
EXAMPLE:
BEST NEW ARTIST
• Los Lonely Boys
1 Maroon5
• Joss Stone
3 Kanye West
1 Gretchen Wilson
Feel free to put all 5 points on one item as well, but remember if you put no points at all for the winner, you will be awarded nothing, that's the risk you may or may not take.
I'll put the official categories up by this weekend or when I have some free time.
