I think Andre 3000's "Hey Ya!" is probably the best video of the year, and depending on the coming months of course, is probably a shoo-in for Video of the Year at the 2004 MTV VMA's in August.
Stacie Orrico's video for "More to Life" is very good, I think that's one of the best of the year. I also like Christina Aguilera's "Fighter", it was really different and another departure from what we are usually used to seeing Christina do. "The Voice Within" was another good one, it was very simple and plain.
I like Kanye West's "Through the Wire" video. and Sean Paul's "Get Busy" really made you wish you were at that party and dancing like them.
I would have LOVED to see a video for "Magic Stick", but ahh well.
I agree I think Nelly's "IZ U" video is pretty bad. But it was tied to the movie "The Haunted Mansion", so I guess that explains the theme/concept.
I didn't really like the "Me Against the Music" video very much, I was expecting it to be quite better. I only think I sat through that entire video once, and that was when it premiered. Every other time I saw it I just changed.

I like: Beyonce featuring Jay-Z: "Crazy In Love" Mya: "My Love Is Like...Wo" Have you ever seen a singer tap dance before? Evanescence: "Going Under" The way Amy leans into the crowd is perfect. No Doubt: "It's My Life" Queens Of The Stone Age: "No One Knows" going back to late 2002 There are no other videos like it. Cfw828, I disagree that no one got to watch Talib Kweli: "Get By." It got to Number 1 on the MTV2 Hip-Hop Countdown and seemed to me like it did better on TV than on radio.

Well I can't do a top 5 worst, because if a video comes on that I don't like, I just change the channel, so all the ones I don't like are pretty much even.
My favorites of the year:
Junior Senior - Move Your Feet - Takes us back to the glory days of computer animation. Who needs The Matrix when you've got bright colors and really large pixels? So retro and such crazy graphics, I love it!
Fountains of Wayne - Stacy's Mom - Stacy's mom was hot! Nothing groundbreaking about this video, I just thought the story was pretty funny, and you gotta love that ending.
Outkast - Hey Ya! - It's been mentioned on so many lists in here that I don't feel the need to explain why I think it's so great.
Stacie Orrico - More To Life - I'm seriously shocked that I like this video. I mean I'm not usually that big a fan of pure pop, and this video is kinda formulaic, but they pulled the concept off very well. Miss Orrico is a surprisingly convincing actress. I don't know, maybe I'm just into Stacies/Stacys this year.
Johnny Cash - Hurt - Powerful, powerful stuff. Brilliantly haunting.

There really is nothing too special about the "Hey Ya!" video. Odds are that everyone that praises it is going along with someone elses praise.

[best][/b] 5 Outkast, Hey Ya Very creative and fun. Need I say more?
4 Justin Timberlake, Cry Me A River When it premiere on TRL, I was sorta stunned. Not only did he dissed his famous girlfriend, but to exploit it... the dude has balls. In the end, big song with a bigger video.
3 Nickelback, Someday Such a horrible song, from such a horrible band. Until seeing the video of "Someday," of course. The storyline and twist is just awesome, kinda like Brian McKnight's "Back At One." Still a horrible band though.
2 Linkin Park, Numb I really like this song, reminds me of "Crawling;" another song I like from them. For this video, I just like how everything is; the band scene in the church, the exclusion of the girl at school, the girl throwing paint on the canvas. Just in general, I really like this video.
1 Coldplay, The Scientist A bit overrated, yeah just a little. But this video deserve all the praises it gets. Not only is the song just incredible, but to tag along such a profound video. Just wow. You get my BEST VIDEO OF 2003 award.
Honorable Mentions: Liz Phair, Why Can't I?, Kylie Minogue, Slow (i know, i know. its actually a cool video), Alicia Keys, You Don't Know My Name, Michelle Branch, Are You Happy Now?, The Darkness, I Believe In A Thing Called Love,
[worst][/u] 6 Any male country artist who put very skimply dress females in their video. First of all its disgusting. Songs like "Who's Your Daddy?" and another one from this old dude is just sick. Including all the followers.
5 Kid Rock featuring Sheryl Crow, Picture Ummm... can I say what a piece of crock?! Not only is it a stupid video, but to try to come off being all cool is ridiculous.
4 Jennifer Lopez, Baby I Love You (Version 1) You know you're coming film (Gigli) is gonna get massacre. Why on God's green Earth would you decide to co-promote it with a video montage of it?! Atleast Epic had the brains to cut out the montage, a week following the box office disaster. But still.
3 Santana featuring The Calling guy, Why Don't You And I Is this even considered a video? There's a difference between being unique and and creative. This not only a cheap looking video, its completely stupid. Whoever thought of this concept should be shot. Horrible idea!!
2 Nas, I Can Now what is going on here? Makes me wanna gag, I don't really give a damn about the humanity and the future of whoring looking 8 years old. Though atleast he made a bad song to go with a bad video; now that I give props to!
1 Madonna, American Life (Version 2) What the flying f.uck was she thinking?! Here's an innovative artist, who after 20 years continues to make groundbreaking videos.... that of course until the change of "American Life" video. Seriously Madge, you could've come up with another idea.... but nope! Well, now I honor you with the WORST VIDEO OF 2003.
Dishonorable mentions: Black Eyed Peas featuring Justin Timberlake, Where Is The Love?, Christina Aguilera featuring Lil Kim, Can't Hold Us Down, Justin Timberlake, Senorita, Ashanti, Rock With You (Ewww Baby)

I can't believe I forgot one. System of A Down-Boom. Whether you like the song or the message behind it is not the issue. Michael Moore directs this video and it is intense as a 3 minute song can get.
The image that captures the chaos in the video is the end shot with the Middle Eastern kid riding the bicycle at the end. It leaves me wondering whether that kid will live to see another day or if he'll be caught in the crossfire of the War on Terror.

5 Best Videos: 1. Beautiful - Christina Aguilera (I could identify with a couple of the characters) 2. Hey Ya - Outkast 3. Damaged - TLC 4. (There's Gotta Be) More To Life - Stacie Orrico 5. Crazy In Love - Beyonce featuring Jay Z
5 Worst Videos: 1. If You Come To Me - Atomic Kitten 2. Love Doesn't Have To Hurt - Atomic Kitten 3. Rock Your Body - Justin Timberlake 4. Something Beautiful - Robbie Williams 5. Invisible - Clay Aiken
I thought the Can't Hold Us Down video wasn't that bad. It was appropriate and very different from the abstract Fighter video.
