Only on a viewer vote decided countdown could "Ohio is For Lovers" be heading back up again. But still, it just doesn't feel right.
Neither does WMUWSE dropping from up at #3, but whatever.
I'll bet "Question!" only gets one week at pole position. Even though lately there's been a streak of 2-week #1s, I just don't see it continuing next week.

Wow, it's definitely getting a little weird with all these high drops and random jumps. "Helena" is still on...
Well, at least they have most of the good videos on.

I'm beating friday to the punch this week. 20) Thrice - Image of the Invisible (Debut) 19) Bloodhound Gang - Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo (19) 18) Green Day - St. Jimmy (Live) (Debut) 17) Bloc Party - Helicopter (20) 16) The Bravery - Unconditional (15) 15) Relient K - Who I Am Hates Who I've Been (18) 14) The White Stripes - My Doorbell (10) 13) Hawthrone Heights - Niki FM (17) 12) Fall Out Boy - Dance, Dance (13) 11) Audioslave - Doesn't Remind Me (9) 10) Weezer - We Are All in Love (12) 9) Motion City Soundtrack - Everything is Alright (8) 8) Franz Ferdinand - Do You Want To (6) 7) Gorillaz - Dare (11) 6) All-American Rejects - Dirty Little Secret (4) 5) Coheed & Cambria - The Suffering (7) 4) Foo Fighters - DOA (5) 3) System of a Down - Question! (1) 2) Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country (2) 1) My Chemical Romance - The Ghost of You (3) Droppers: My Chemical Romance - Helena (from #16) Hawthorne Heights - Ohio is For Lovers (from #14) Looks like I was right about SOAD only getting one week on top. I could see MCR getting three weeks up there before the Foos (most likely) take over.
What's odd is that the first recap was from the week before, but the second one was correct.
Ding, dong, the witch is dead - after 31 weeks, "Helena" finally falls off the countdown.

Due to today's Beavis & Butthead marathon, the Countdown won't be on today. >:(

10) System of a Down - Hypnotize (Debut) 9) Korn - Twisted Transistor (Debut) 8) Green Day - St. Jimmy [Live] (18) 7) Hawthorne Heights - Niki FM (13) 6) Motion City Soundtrack - Everthing is Alright (9) 5) Fall Out Boy - Dance Dance (12) 4) Coheed and Cambria - The Suffering (5) 3) Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country (2) 2) Foo Fighters - DOA (4) 1) My Chemical Romance - The Ghost of You (1)
Yeah, apparently MTV2 decided to lop off the bottom half of the countdown so they could devote the next hour to Bam Magerra (however you spell the guy's name) (and to a lesser extent, the band HIM). Pretty hard to determine what fell off and what didn't so I won't even bother.

Pretty hard to determine what fell off and what didn't so I won't even bother. It gets worse. The Countdown will only be one hour from now on. That has me so pissed off that out of protest, I'm never watching MTV2 again. >:( And you forgot to mention that they only played clips of #7 and #6.

Yeah, f**k that. And yet they're keeping the hip-hop countdown at two hour long because I guess making that one hour somehow renders it "suckered".

Then I fail to see what purpose the weekend countdown serves when they have a daily rock countdown as well.

They did a year-end countdown today, which I managed to catch.
20) The Killers - All These Things That I've Done 19) The Bravery - An Honest Mistake 18) Franz Ferdinand - Do You Want To 17) Papa Roach - Scars 16) Korn - Twisted Transistor 15) Green Day - Holiday 14) Weezer - Beverly Hills 13) Coheed and Cambria - The Suffering 12) System of a Down - Question 11) Hawthorne Heights - Ohio Is for Lovers 10) Nine Inch Nails - Only 9) Fall Out Boy - Dance Dance 8) Foo Fighters - Best of You 7) Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country 6) My Chemical Romance - The Ghost of You 5) Green Day - Wake Me Up When September Ends 4) Gorillaz - Feel Good, Inc. 3) Fall Out Boy - Sugar, We're Goin' Down 2) My Chemical Romance - Helena 1) Green Day - Boulevard of Broken Dreams
This kinda demonstrated why it was a great idea to dump having a host for the show, since they skipped 19, 14, 11, 8, and 5 so they could give face time to Jim Shearer (and for some inexplicable segment where Franz Ferdinand discussed "groundbreaking" artists). And I knew one video would probably get screwed and it was The Killers' "Mr. Brightside." I mean, it spent 9 weeks at #1 on the countdown (and like 7 or so before that at #2), and not once is that acknowledged! Also, I don't understand why they said "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" spent 3 weeks at #1, when I distinctly remember the big deal they were making as it approached and eventually tied Jimmy Eat World's record of 7 weeks on top. Well, whatever. They showed videos for 2 hours; that's all I can ask these days of MTV2.

That's not even worth the two hours' time. The way that list looks is worse than any dartboard.
I mean, "Twisted Transistor" and "The Suffering" in the Top 20? "Only" and "Dance, Dance" in the Top 10??
