I know Eminem is respected and he's done some really good songs, but I was surprised to see they nominated "Just Lose It" in rap. I mean, I'm sure there's better songs than that one that can show more talent. Even his old other fun songs I think are better. This one to me sounds more like a bad copy of his other first-single big hits. You know, it's a fun silly song, but not deserving of a grammy nomination in my opinion. He could do better and I'm sure there were better smarter rap songs out there.
I've never heard a whole Eminem album, only the singles which many I've liked. The songs I've heard from his current album don't catch my attention at all. Is it just me? Or really the quality of this album is not as good as the others? To me they all sound as if Eminem has used an ok chorus (sampling) and put rap verses that sound all the same and could be interchanged among all his songs without major difference. I do have to say I haven't had a chance to really hear the lyrics though yet. Maybe that's the good talented part of his new songs, but his rendition of his lyrics seems to leave a lot to be desired. You know, very repetitive just like a flat line or monotonous.
Can people who have heard the album give me their opinion? And no, I'm not attacking Eminem. Just in case a hard core fan gets offended. You never know... :)

No way did that song deserve a grammy nomination. The song is trash and quite possibly the worst song he ever recorded

Hey, Rob. Don't take it wrong, man :) You should've quoted what I said just before the part you actually did quote. I'm not attacking your idol. I have a doubt and I would love somebody like you to give his opinion. I'm assuming you have all his albums so you can compare them and give me an honest opinion intead of just a mad/sad face. As I said, I don't have his albums and I'm not planning to buy them, but I do have that curiosity about his last album and if you think he deserves the grammy nomination for Just Lose It. I'm not saying if the album deserves it, I'm saying that specific song. Thanks!

If he was eligible for Mosh, possibly.
As far as Just Lose It goes though, no way.

That song doesn't deserve it's own topic in this forum, let alone a grammy nom

That song doesn't deserve it's own topic in this forum, let alone a grammy nom lol. couldn't agree more. this song actually highlights eminem's immaturity and it highlights the fact that his creativity is going down a bit.

JLI is nothing more than an inferior re-hashing of Without Me. I like Eminem's more serious material, but his silly leadoff singles are getting progressively worse.

I'm still pissed at Em/his label for insisting on releasing the silly novelty song first, so "Mosh" came out too late to have any effect on the election. To me, that was a waste. Making fun of Michael Jackson would be just as relevant...

Absolutely not! The fact that it's nominated is just further proof what a joke the Grammys are.

As I would say when someone asks me a question like that about Eminem deserving an Emmy, my answer is this:
HELLL NAW!!! >:( >:(
And I better not see him on that damn stage with 300 members of his entourage, either! >:( >:(

No it doesn't deserve any award. I wish this song would just go away.

No this song does not deserve any awards, but I'm glad they at least only nominated it in the rap category, and that this didn't become his third straight Record of the Year nomination.

It doesn't come close to deserving a nomination.

Absolutely not. It's a horrible song. It didn't deserve the airplay that it recieved and it doesn't even deserve to be considered for a Grammy, let alone an actual nomination.

It appears laurels, vindicating past mistakes, and making sure the public is "put in it's place" are primary voting criteria for the "academy of idiots".
Hell no it doesn't deserve a Grammy nod. Em doesn't even deserve an invitation to the show.
"What You Waiting For" is another hanging chad fiasco that got whispered "in".
I won't watch or give any credit to the rigged results.
