This is definitely the best male R&B album I've heard this year. Even though I can't point out a guaranteed hit, the album is very solid. As long as he doesn't go releasing an upbeat song like "Romancipation," I'm sure he has several Urban AC #1's waiting to happen.
It's obvious that radio wants another midtempo or ballad from him, since the upbeat "Forthenight" is underperforming.

I'll wait until I see it used for $5. Is it better than Avant's album? Which is Musiq's best album?

"Whoknows" is the song on the album getting the most airplay behind "Forthenight". That one would probably be a very big hit.

I just told her about your review. :) She didn't get his album yet.
