Ok, so what does everyone think of the new album? I love it! I think it is a definate progression from No Angel. No Angel had some strong songs but also some very weak ones but Life For Rent is full of strong songs, only a few are single material though. What do you guys think of it??? Your Opinion Please. I will add a review of the album with your opinions in to my site www.ashandstuff.4t.com

The album as a whole's quite good... I like most of the songs on it. My favourites are "White Flag", "Life For Rent", "Don't Leave Home", "Sand In My Shoes", "This Land Is Mine", and the hidden track at the end.
The only tracks I don't really like are "Who Makes You Feel" and "Do You Have A Little Time".

I am a little disappointed in this cd. It is very boring atleast at first listen. I much prefer "No Angel". But I am sure in time I will grow to love it. I will post a full review when I find my copy and listen to it again.

I think this is a solid effort. It's starts off nicely with "White Flag" and the trippy "Stoned", which just has to be a single! I've found more songs that I like on here than "No Angel," but both are pretty good albums. I really like "Don't Leave Home", "Sand In My Shoes" (another single screaming to happen), and "This Land Is Mine."
The only true stinker is "Mary's In India" -- a real sleep-inducer.
I'm hoping that on her next album she experiments a little more. Along the lines of "Stoned" probably. I just think it's perfect chill music.
I'd probably give it a 7/10.
