Most undeserving #1 of the year?
Can someone start by listing all the #1s and the # of weeks at #1?
PS IMO Shake Ya Tailfeather

"Beautiful" ~ Christina Aguilera, 4 weeks "I'm with You" ~ Avril Lavigne, 3 weeks "All I Have" ~ JLO ft. LL Cool J., 4 weeks "In Da Club" ~ 50 Cent, 4 weeks "When I'm Gone" ~ Three Doors Down, 1 week "Ignition (Remix)" ~ R. Kelly, 1 week "Rock Your Body" ~ Justin Timberlake, 5 weeks "Bring Me to Life" ~ Evanescance, 1 week "Miss Independent" ~ Kelly Clarkson, 6 weeks "Crazy in Love" ~ Beyoncé ft. Jay-Z, 2 weeks "Where is the Love?" ~ Blackeyed Peas, 6 weeks "Shake Ya Tailfeather" ~ Nelly, P. Diddy, Murphy Lee, 2 weeks "Here without You" ~ Three Doors Down, 1 week
I think the least deserving is by far "Shake Ya Tailfeather" ~ Nelly, P. Diddy, Murphy Lee

I don't care too much because pop is not the format that I'd be looking to for good songs.
I'll say "Ignition" because a remix had to be released to get the song there.

I'll say "Ignition" because a remix had to be released to get the song there. The remix was very different from the original. It wasn't like he released the original to Pop radio, saw it flopping and quickly enlisted 50 Cent to make a remix to save it. If R Kelly had called it by a different title would you still think it was most undeserving of #1? I think the least deserving was Christina Aguilera's Beautiful.

"Bring Me To Life." The worst song of 2003 with the exception of "Drift Away."

If R Kelly had called it by a different title would you still think it was most undeserving of #1? It reminds me too much of the fake J. Lo/Ja Rule remixes, but at least it's A LOT better, I'll give credit for that.

This poses a very difficult question. SOOOOO many undeserving #1's this year... most of them were.
I'd say a 4-way tie between: J. Lo - All I Have 50 Cent - In Da CLub Evanescense - Bring Me To Life Justin Timberlake - Rock Your Body

"Rock Your Body" did not deserve #1, IMO. Although I can't stand any of Justin Timberlake's songs, "Cry Me A River" was a superior track.
Also, I don't think "Shake Ya Tailfeather" deserved #1, but I guess I'm not surprised it reached the top, with Nelly and PDiddy who can't seem to go wrong these days. Listening to it once or twice is a good time, but enough already! "We do this for fun..." oh gimme a break; not fun for the listener anyhow.
"Ride Wit Me" was a much better Nelly track IMO and was more deserving of the top spot.

Most definitely "In Da Club". When I compile my version of the charts (the ones with a 90 percent lean towards the real charts), I don't know WHAT song I'm going to give number one in order to keep that piece of cowplop out of the top spot. But I'm sure I'll think of something.

I'll vote for Ignition (remix) on this one. Although it was a good song, it certainly was nothing special.

My vote definitely goes to "Ignition (Remix)." Nothing too special about it.
Thanks, Ben

I would say "When I'm Gone" and "Shake Ya Tailfeather", both very overrated songs.

Avril Lavigne "I'm With You"-the song was actually good, but it was so overated on the R & R boards and i was gonna vomit if i heard about it again
Jennifer Lopez/LL Cool J "All I Have"-Good song, but i wanted J.lo to start flopping then, at least it happened after.
3 Doors Down "When I'm Gone"-The biggest piece of shit i have heard all year
Justin Timberlake "Rock Your Body"-I was surprised this song did so well, it didn't deserve all that success. If i could change it i would make it peak at #2.

None of those songs deserved #1, except for Evanescence and possibly one or both of the 3DD songs.

Definately "Beautiful." There are others on the list, but that was the most offensive.

The only undeserving #1 so far this year has been "Bring Me To Life". As in, what the hell is it doing at #1 among all the rest of this garbage.
