Whoa, that's freaky. The two songs, for those who are wondering, are "Numb" (left ear, from Meteora) and "Pushing Me Away" (right ear, from [Hybrid Theory]). I noticed they did a major pitch change on both ends though.

Yeah, they all sound the same. But, hey, they probably won't sue themselves.

You sad, sad, deaf people.
How can anyone think that any Linkin Park song sounds like another? If you're familiar with both songs, you can actually tune in to only one song when listening to that clip and you wouldn't think they sound similar at all.

You sad, sad, deaf people. Who do you think you are to say that, Shadowblue? You're the sad one who posted 18 million times on R&R and bought a car to drive from one topic to another How can anyone think that any Linkin Park song sounds like another? I hope you're joking. I can't tell some of their songs apart.

All of their songs have the exact same formula. That's what most critics say when they trash them.

Geez, that was ages ago so stop bringing it up. I didn't think it was possible for anyone to hold a grudge for that long.

Rob, I really don't see the point in bringing up shadowblue's R&R posting. Totally irrelevent dude. Really sounded a bit lame, IMO.
Anyway, as for Linkin Park, I love them and have to admit, yes, they do have a typical style. But you guys can't say all the songs sound the same. Ok, "In The End" is kind of similar to "Somewhere I Belong", but ITE is much better. Looking at their first CD for example, "Crawling", "Cure For The Itch", and "Forgotten" all sound very different. Obviously, all tracks have Chester's vocals and feature Shinoda's rapping style. If you're not a fan of this, then all the tracks will sound the same to you.
Kind of like how most of Britney's up-tempo songs sound similar to me.

Urgh, I don't want to spoil this topic, but I have one last thing to say.
You can't keep "making the same joke" again and again and hide behind the excuse that you're only kidding every time. You've brought it up one too many times and most of the time I ignore it, but when I do make an issue out of it, you immediately pretend that you're kidding, knowing fully well that nobody thinks that you are, and that you do indeed, hold some strange grudge against me for my R&R posting. Everyone else has moved on so please do it too.
So I suggest you either drop the grudge or at least don't be cowardly enough to hide behind the "I'm kidding" excuse whenever you do decide to show that grudge. It's terribly transparent.

"Somewhere I Belong" was an exact copy of "In The End" >:( One difference is that the singer has lines in the middle of the rap in "Somewhere I Belong."

I heard someone play an entire Linkin Park album a while back. Sheer agony. Anyway, I remember most of the songs sounding almost identical.

With all the records they're selling, I bet the third album will sound the exact same too.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Aren't both songs the last song on the album too?

They broke through with a song that kicks you in the balls with "One Step Closer", followed it up with a more mellowed out synth metal track in "Crawling", and then hit the jackpot with the piano-driven "In The End".
I'm not much of a fan, and hearing them on the radio is becoming unbearable. But if the contrast in those three songs seriously flies completely over your head, then you must have had countless non-stop hours of exposure to dangerously high-decibel noise as a young child.

I bought their second CD "Mentora" and all of their songs talk just about the same thing. Think about it, it might as well be "In The End" as a series of their songs. Most of the time it sounds like they are whining in their songs, not singles, but songs alone. This is sad and it's bound to get old, not a healthy career choice my friend.

Linkin Park even admitted a few months ago they are a pretty boring band! LOL! Instead of interested of meeting their fans backstage a lot, they prefer to play Nintendo Gamecube!
For those of you who don't think they sound the same, you have to look deep into the anatomy of their music. Sure, they use computers and turn-tables so it sounds like the beginnin of each of their songs sounds different, but when it comes to the chords, the riffs, the atmosphere, it's all the same formula. >:(
Perhaps they don't care about the critics and they're just like Nickelback, who only wants their fans there at their shows, but either way, they're nothing innovative.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton
