(There's Gotta Be) More To Life has gotten a lot more airplay than Stuck. Why is this? Stuck is a much better song in every sense. Beat, lyrics, rhythm, sound, etc. I don't see why More To Life is doing so well, everytime it comes on the radio, people I know are always like "OK change the station". Yet so many songs have dropped Stuck. Can someone provide some enlightment on the subject?

Well it could be the fact that "Stuck" is what 'broke' Stacie into the Pop market, so alot of stations were reluctant to play this seemingly out of nowhere type artist, with this catchy tune.
But they heard "More to Life", and decided that it was a great song, so they decided that this artist may actually have something to her, and play it.
It also could be the fact that "More to Life" is a much more meaningful song than "Stuck", in terms of substance. It has a message many people can relate to, and that is always going to help a song.

are you joking? the whole there's gotta be more to life thing is so over done. I'm sure there are a ton of 90s songs that have that little teeniebopper message. I can relate to stuck a hundred times more. it's like yeah...there's gotta be more to life...ok great get on with it. stuck is so much more catchy. same w/mandy - have a little faith in me...sappy song...horrible!! it's like an I'm With You wannabe. except I'm With You is so much more "soulful" and "touching". it gives a stronger image and lets not forget...music creates memories.

I agree. "More To Life" has a song which lyrically can apply to a lot of people.
"Stuck" is more of a teenybop love song.

I like "(There's Gotta Be) More To Life" much more than "Stuck." "Stuck" can get really annoying. "...More To Life" is a Top 20 hit on my chart, and "Stuck" didn't chart at all.

I think "(There's Gotta Be) More to Life" is much better than "Stuck." But I also think "Stuck" is more radio-friendly, but for some reason I always knew "More to Life" would do better than "Stuck."

To me, More to Life is much much much better than Stuck. MUCH better. It seems catchier with better lyrics and just...better overall. So...maybe a lot of people are like me and like it better lol.

Both songs are among my favorites of the year, but I liked "More To Life" from the very beginning, unlike "Stuck" which took me a little while to get into, but I like "More To Life" more.

Stuck is just another one in the crowd. More To Life is much better, but I'm not a big fan of neither.

I really like both songs alot. I am not sure which one I prefer. "Stuck" is probably one of my favorite songs of the year. But "More To Life" is just as good I just didn't play it as much.

I hated "Stuck" beyond belief, and I can't get enough of "(TGB)MTL" Really catchy song, it's a breath of fresh air on the radio.

I like both songs, but More to Life is the better song. I thought this song had an outside shot at Female Pop Vocal Performance. Excellent song IMO and I'm not a huge fan of pop.

She deserved the nominations. Both "Stuck" and "More To Life" were worthy

On my chart:
"Stuck": 3 weeks on, peak #15 "There's Gotta Be More To Life": 15 weeks on, peak #3
I just thought that was weird, how the weeks on and peak position are reversed like that.

I like "Stuck", but for some reason it's never sat comfortably with me. It sounds like a song I'm supposed to dislike, but I don't. And it's not even a guilty pleasure for me, too. It just sounds kinda cool to listen to.
However, I'm starting to think "There's Gotta Be More To Life" is better or at least around the same. It did manage to make my personal chart, unlike "Stuck" (although it should have). It can probably make the top 20 next year.

I like "(There's Gotta Be) More To Life" more than "Stuck" as well. "TGBMTL" spent several weeks at #1 on my chart while "Stuck" peaked at #39, though it should've peaked higher.

What's her next single, "I Promise You" or something like that? I only heard it once... it's not bad but pretty boring. From what I've heard "(TGB) MTL" is the only standout.
What was the name of the song that a lot of people here thought should've been the third single instead?

What was the name of the song that a lot of people here thought should've been the third single instead? I don't think there was a single board favorite, but I would've liked to see "Bounce Back" released. If Forefront really wanted to release a slower song, "Strong Enough" would have been a good choice. That might be considered a little more boring, but it's a very personal song to Stacie and it's really good when you're in the mood for a slow song. "I Promise" is okay. I don't think it'll peak at #1 on my chart. It might even do worse than "Strong Enough" and "Security," which I charted at the same time as "Stuck" even though they were CCM-only releases.

Whenever (TGB)MTL comes on the radio, I change the station. "Stuck", while not much better, is a tad bit more tolerable to me.

I like Stacie Orrico. I think she has a great pop sound. She hasn't done to great in the UK, which is a shame.
I Promise has just started playing on UK Radio and TV. It's very boring and definately not worthy of being a single. I can't say what she should've released but this song has got no pizz azz.
