I like "Stuck" more than "(There's Gotta Be) More To Life".

One reason I'm surprised "(There's Gotts Be) More to Life" did better on pop is I felt "Stuck" had a little bit of a rhytmic feel to it. Did anyone else sense this?

I said from the minute I heard "Stuck" that it would win over CHR radio and become a hit. Each year, I try to find that one song from an unknown artist (to the market) and champion its chart run. "Stuck was that song for me this year. People don't realize that "in your face pop music" is a genre on its own and if you get a song in this vain, it is your ticket to Top 40 stardom. Of course having Dallas Austin and Matt Serletic producing a song together is another way of guarantee a smash.
I think "More to Life" is a very telling record. The fact that it connects with Top 40 listeners goes to show that there is still room for important, meaningful pop songs out there with substance. I love the song, but when asked if I thought it would break the Top 10, I predicted it wouldn't. Of course I am thrilled that I was wrong and thrilled that PD’s are starting to realize that songs like “More To Life” are exactly what core Top 40 listeners want to hear.
With regard to “I Promise,” I too wonder if it will be able to find a place on Top 40 radio. I absolutely love the song; however I think that the label and the producers could have done a better job with Stacie’s recording. It’s just a little too bland for me, especially at the beginning. Where I think you really hear the true potential of the song is in the bridge and the final chorus. Stacie really shines on the end, and the sincerity she sings with really comes out. Hopefully it’s enough to keep the string of hits going for this truly gifted artist.

The radio will porbably embrace her now, hopefully they will hand onto "I Prmise."

I like Stacie. More to Life was a better song than Stuck, and I really wish she would release "Instead" instead of I Promise. Instead has a really catchy pop hook, and has hit appeal.

"More To Life" and "Stuck" are both good at what they do... which is suck horribly. This is the kind of music Satan plays at his tea parties in hell.
Stacie is such a she-beast IMO. I hope to never hear or see her again.
