My ex-fiancee just recently got ahold of me which totally threw my world into a tailspin. Apparntly I never really dealt with the pain because it is all back again. Anyways this has gotten me listening to alot more depressin love songs. (atleast more than usual). If I am sad I listen to music that is sad. If I am angry I listen to angry music , (especially "Right Now" by Korn and "One Atep Closer" by Linkin Park) and if I am in a good mood I wanna hear upbeat tunes and dance music. I know this is pretty much human nature. It just seems like I hear a good upbeat song and I am in a bad mood I won't really pay attention and it will suffer in the process. But if I am in a good mood and hear a sad depression song it brings me down. It seems that I tend to be partial to sad and depressing music. Does anyone else feel that ?

Mood always afftects what songs I listen to. Sometimes I'll like a song, but I'm never in the mood to listen to it!

I agree. When I had a recent falling out, I had Britney's "Everytime" and Maria's "I Give, You Take" on repeat.
I remember a girl use to tell me she listened to happy music like STEPS and S Club when she was depressed. It doesn't work for me. I can't stand cheesy pop when I'm in a bad mood.

Mineable... you never stop, man, never.
But yeah it's true about moods-- however I like an artist that can offer music for any mood.

some evenings i'll have my winamp playing, but the minute a upbeat tune would come on, i'd change the song because it really didn't reflect my mood.. other time, i can't stand slow and/or depressing songs because they don't match my mood there either... so ya, my mood affects my music listening

When I'm depressed I listen to songs like "My Immortal," "All You Wanted," "Stole," and "Adam's Song."
