Oh man... I love The Darkness. Afterall, they did have the #1 song of 2004 on my chart. I can't wait to hear this, although I hope it's more like "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" or "Growing On Me" than "Get Your Hands Off of My Woman."

I didn't even think these guys would make it to a second album.

I can't wait to hear this, although I hope it's more like "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" or "Growing On Me" than "Get Your Hands Off of My Woman." I feel GYHOOMW is one of their better tunes, if you can even call Darkness songs good. It rocks hard and the chorus is ridiculous.

I didn't even think these guys would make it to a second album. They were pretty successful for a British band here in the US. I believe they're even bigger in Europe and Latin America, and maybe even Japan. This should be interesting.

Here's the tracklisting for "One Way Ticket To Hell...And Back"
***************
One Way Ticket Knockers Is It Just Me? Dinner Lady Arms Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time Hazel Eyes Bald Girlfriend English Country Garden Blind Man
**************
Surprised by the number of apt titles compared to the first album ("Bald", "Girlfriend", "Knockers", "Hazel Eyes", "Blind Man")
But I'll gauge their next release by how hard they rock! ;)
Sincerely, Noah Eaon

Just heard it on myspace.com. Damn it sound exactly of what they already did. Its start like "I Believe in a Thing Call Love", and its the same thing from their other songs. It dont have the fun of IBIATCL, the only funny thing is how the song is identical of what they already did.

This sounds more like 80's hair metal than 70's glam rock. It's alright. Not bad.

I totally disagree with who's been saying this sounds just like "I Believe In A Thing Called Love".
"I Believe In A Thing Called Love" was much more catchy, had more solos, and was just playful-sounding all around. In "One Way Ticket", there's still the familiar guitar sound and Hawkin's falsetto, but it's a much more conservative style of rock song for them.
I would really have enjoyed hearing the pan flute and drug snorting introduction too on MySpace.
This isn't as good as "IBIATCL", which is one of the catchiest rock songs to have come out in years, and I don't see it making much noise on any format, unfortunately.
My Prediction: #26
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I just heard the clip of this and I love it. They are so Queen it's not even funny, they should just change their name right now. Long live singing like a girl and getting away with it.

I think its really annoying, the fact that its about cocaine though makes it a little better That's the message we're teaching children? That drugs makes everything better? This song is actually about the exact opposite, it's an anti-drug song and the album version which will have the pan flute intro, followed by the gross snort of cocaine before the music begins, shows it. That's the whole point of the title. It's telling youth that it'll feel like hell getting addicted to drugs, but there is always a way back, a way to reddem yourself, a way to recovery if you caught onto the addiction. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Ahahaha, I like that you took me seriously. I was referring to the fact that the guy said it was better cause it was about cocaine. It was a joke.

The Darkness - ' One Way Ticket' "Are the Darkness losing their sense of humour, or was the joke always on us when they hinted their camp heavy metal anthems were just a bit spooftastic? 'One Way Ticket' hits all the right notes - even the ones that choirboys in very tight trousers would struggle to reach - with its operatic harmonies and searing guitars. But somehow it all seems a bit Bon Jovi, this time around. Except the sitar solo, which is truly bonkers. Nevertheless, this is a cracking tune that would have any guys still living in the '80s swinging their long blond girly hair with delight. ***/5 stars" From BBC's TOTP.
