It was rock but I can't tell the year of release. It's definitely not 70's though. It sounded maybe late 80's at the oldest. It had a lot of guitar and some of the lyrics were (this is what it sounded like... maybe not exactly): "cry for you, I'll die for you" "live a little" That's all I remember.

I'm guessing it's either Bon Jovi or Aerosmith. I'll go listen to the songs I'm thinking of and get back to you.
Edit: Ah, nope.

Interesting, a band called Texas has a song with the words "Cry for You in it called "The One I Want It For" and a song called "You've got to Live a Little."

Another result that came up, but I couldn't research well was "Who Cares Who They Are About?" ~ Paradoxys.

I think I've got the song on my mind... maybe something like "And I'd cry for you, yeah I'd die for you"???
I'll look for it.
I was thinking about "Everything I do I do it for you" by Bryan Adams... but I think that's not the song

i HATE when i get a song in my head like that, but if you do ever figure it out, and then get a copy of it, you're in heaven. it's usually songs i heard when i was a lot younger.
i did that with LL's "loungin" b/c all i remembered was "who do you love... are you for sure... who do you love" or whatever.
