The full title is "U Shoulda Known Betta" but it's spelled different everywhere: You/U, Shoulda/Should've, Betta/Better. Anyway, this is being released to all 3 major formats (Pop, Rhythmic, Urban) Feb. 16 as Monica's third release. I like the song a lot, but I don't know if it fits in the current state of radio. For all of you have heard it, give your opinion: 1. what you think of it personally 2. chances at pop 3. rhythmic 4. urban
1. I personally like it a lot, it's one of the better mid-tempo songs to come out in a while, her vocals are on point, and it's her first release where she gets writing credit 2. no clue 3. doesn't seem like it could do much-- top 40 or 30 if it's a hit elsewhere 4. urban... hmm. this isn't the type of song that's been getting a lot of play, it's not got the neo-soul flow (which over the last couple years have been the only slow songs to do well)-- but I think slow jams may be coming back. top 20 or top 10 if it's a hit elsewhere *fingers crossed*

1: I personally love the song and hope it does well. I think it is way better than her last release. I like "Knock Knock" but it is pretty much the same as "So Gone".
2: I think it could crack the top 40. But I have no clue from there.
3: Top 20
4: Top 10 (if not top 5)

1. Not horrendous, but easily her worst single ever, or maybe "Get It Off" but one of them.
2. It will make the Top 50 at the most.
3. Miss the Top 50 unless there's a remix.
4. Maybe the Top 30 at the highest.

I really like it. I thought it was a great ballad and it could've saved the "All Eyez On Me" album from being delayed.
I don't know how it'll be embraced, but I can definitely see it cracking Top 50 at Pop if given the push.

2. Flop at pop.
3. Minor smash at rhythmic.
4. Smash at urban.
