Which artists do you feel should've gotten some greater attention/airplay on certain formats. Artist that would fit the format pretty good but have been ignored. This topic came to mind when I was watching Vh1 and saw the Jack Johnson "Taylor" video, I wondered why Pop has never really gotten into him, I think his music is decent for Pop and Hot AC.

Vanessa Carlton on Hot AC and AC, but I blame interscope.

I felt that Avril Lavigne could have done better on AC, but few stations played her songs.

Pete Yorn on CHR/Pop and Hot AC (What's the hold-up? He has got to be one if not THE most underrated artist out there! He's still selling more records than the latest from a number of once-famous multi-platinum veteran artists, yet his radio-friendly material won't get a push. Shame on them!)
Jonny Lang: AC/Hot AC ("Red Light" would have made a good AC single)
Aimee Mann: Hot AC (OK, so even Triple A ignores her. The question is...Why? She is one of the most underrated artists out there...still.)
White Stripes: Triple A (A few stations play them, but the whole panel I feel should pick up on "I Want To Be The Boy" or something. They are not too hard for Triple A and if Jet can chart, so can they.)
Shakira: Hot AC (had limited Hot AC play, but should've gotten a similar chart performance to singles of Pink or No Doubt. With her next album being rockier, she may be more fortunate here.)
The Thorns: Hot AC
Sincerely, Noah Eaton
