Toxic seems to be a decent hit for Britney so far and it looks like she has some momentum going for herself on radio.
My opinion is that she should not waste this opprotunity to release something radio friendly and score another hit. My choice is Breathe On Me, its another song that some non-fans seem to like and it would be a universal hit for her. My other choice would be "I Got That Boom Boom" Ft Ying Yang Twins because of its crossover appeal and the Ying Yang Twins.

If a dancy track like "Toxic" is doing this well, I think "Touch Of My Hand" would keep in the dance vein without going all out with "Breathe On Me".

Breathe On Me is the only song I seem to like of hers. I would predict a big hit is she releases that.

I hope she doesn't release "Breathe on Me" which she most likely will. I'm rooting for "Shadow," however I really like "Evertime." But the song seems so under-produced.

"Everytime" would put her right back out of the spotlight. "Toxic" is doing great because it's a really upbeat fun track.

But, I guess, unfortunately "Breathe on Me" would have more success than "Shadow." :( Or she could release "Show Down" or "The Hook Up," The better one of those too. I always get them mixed up.

I'm not sure how "Breathe On Me" would do. It's very camp and that's why I said I don't know if they would "go all out" with the dance music for this album. Kylie pulled it off with "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" though.

The only potential singles I think she has left are:
Outrageous I got that (BOOM BOOM) Breathe on Me Early Morning Everytime
Note: Everytime should not be the next single!!!
"Shadow" is a rip off of I'm with you and radio would not tolerate that from Britney. Touch of My Hand would not get ay airplay and is stupid. There have been much better songs about masturbation? "Showdown" is a rip-off of "Toxic", where Toxic is much better. The rest of the album is beyond hope.

Very tough decision for Jive. I fear that they will play it super safe and release either "I Got That Boom Boom" or "Outrageous". I don't see either hitting the Top 10. Both would stall in the 15-20 range.
I think there are three potential choices. "Breathe On Me", "Touch Of My Hand", and "Early Mornin'". "Early Mornin'" was touted (along with "Toxic") by most critics and Spin Magazine even named it her best track ever. It's different from everything else on the radio but isn't as instantly catchy as "Toxic" though so it's risky. I say the laid-back dance of "Touch Of My Hand" and "Breathe On Me" are pretty good bets. They offer a change of pace without releasing a full on ballad like "Everytime".
"Shadow" could work too, but I'd save it for a fourth or fifth single.

I hope the next single is "Breathe On Me".
Other ones that I think are good- I Got The Boom Boom Outragous Jive was considering these for the 2nd single...So one of these could be next.
Breathe On Me..would be great a 3rd or 4th single.

Britney should rap up toxic in April then start with Breathe On Me. She should keep that single till July then release Boom Boom. She should end the album with Shadow because I think that will be the biggest hit off the album and will earn her a grammy nomination.

Don't assume the best songs will be singles. On her last album, the WORST tracks were singles.

My top choices would be Breathe On Me, Everytime, or Touch Of My Hand.
My fourth choice would be Shadow, though.
I don't want Early Mornin', Showdown, or The Hook Up to be released.

I really like "Breathe on Me", "Outrageous" and "Boom Boom".
I think she should release one of Outageous or Boom Boom, to test the Urban/Rhythmic market, for some potential crossover appeal.
I know Flow 93.5 here in Toronto (urban) has played both "Boom Boom" and "Outrageous", and I found that semi exciting.

Britney can't do ballads.
Since (1) this album is her best so far and (2) radio is desperate for any pop track, even from her, anything she releases should be a decent-sized hit. It doesn't really matter what she releases next as long as it's not a ballad, although "Shadow"'s OK. I also like "Showdown."

I would go with "Breathe On Me", but "Early Mornin'" and "Touch Of My Hand" will be interesting.

Britney can't do ballads. She's released a ballad from each of her first three albums so she and the record company don't care.

Lo. and pushing singles to pop radio so quickly! I love "Breathe On Me", but I don't think that pop stations will be so open to add it to their playlists as they were with Toxic. It certainly is a tough call. I just got the album, so I will listen to it a few times through and get back to you.

I think she should stay away from the safer singles on this album. No "Breathe On Me," "Boom Boom" or "Outrageous." "Toxic" is off to a great start, and it's one of the edgier songs IMO. I think they should go with "Showdown," "Touch Of My Hand," or "Early Mornin."

I'm leaning towards Everytime. Really good ballad.
Showdown is too underrated.

I think "Early Mornin'" and "Touch Of My Hand" are too risky. Britney fans didn't seem to embrace "Early Mornin'," but I'm not too sure about non-Britney fans. "Touch Of My Hand" is a Britney fan favorite and I think it would do good on the account of its subject matter. I think "Breathe On Me" would be good next, then "Outrageous" or "Boom Boom" and then maybe one of the ballads.
Thanks, Ben

The subject matter of "Touch Of My Hand" is not too risky. I don't know how anyone can say that when "I Touch Myself," "Oops (Oh My)," and now a song titled "Fuck It" did great on the pop chart.

1. Me Against The Music 2. Toxic 3. Outrageous 4. Touch Of My Hand 5. Shadow
Shadow is totally superior to Everytime. Everytime is extremely underproduced IMO. I also do not think Shadow sounds like a copy of Im With You.
